Schengen visa: rules of receipt, list of documents

The Schengen visa is a "pass" to the countries of Europe, which accepted the conditions and signed the Schengen agreement. To date, 25 states have signed the Schengen: only in 2009, the Agreement was joined by 9 countries. As part of the European Union there are several states that are not members of the Schengen zone. Among them are Romania, Great Britain, Ireland and Bulgaria.

How to get a Schengen? In which state visa registration will be easier?

More often a visa is issued for the country in which the trip is to take place. It happens that a person needs to visit several states at once, in which the Schengen visa is a document of passage. The rules in this case say the following:

· Schengen must be issued for entry into the country in which a long stay is planned;

· If several states have to visit and stay in each country for approximately the same period of time, the visa is issued for entry into the state through which the person intends to enter the Schengen territory.

Schengen visa: clearance rules

The unified visa code of 2010 allows you to issue a visa for entry into one state, after which the citizen has the opportunity to travel to all countries of the Old World.

Only at first glance it seems that it is necessary to beat a lot of thresholds, to face great difficulties before the coveted document will be in hand. In order for you to change your mind, allow me to present a step-by-step plan for Schengen clearance.

First, you need to provide documents:

1. Completed application form. Despite the large number of questions here, it is a lite version of the questionnaire compared to that which is filled in for a visa to the United States or the United Kingdom.

2. Passport. The rules of the Schengen visa require that the validity of the passport is at least 3 months from the date it was received.

3. Passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation: you must provide photocopies of all pages.

4. Photo. The limitation period for photographs can not exceed six months.

5. A document confirming the purpose of the trip. If this is a sightseeing tour, a tourist voucher or reservation is required. A private trip requires an invitation.

6. Confirmation of sufficient amount of money. The calculation is made in the proportion of $ 100 per day. You can provide, for example, a third party guarantee, an organization, traveler's checks or a credit card.

7. Medical insurance in the form of an international policy valid in the Schengen area.

8. Information of certain content, on the basis of which it can be concluded that you intend to return to the country. This may be the absence of large credit obligations, belonging to some extremist group, and so on.

Obtaining certificates, certificates and other documents in many cases is for a fee, including obtaining a Schengen visa. Today's rules provide for the following tariffs:

· Children under 6 years old - free of charge;

· Children in the age range from 6 to 12 years - 35 euros (about 1365 rivers);

· Citizens over 12 years old - 70 euros (2 730 rubles).

A receipt for payment is also presented at the time of filing.

Schengen visa: the rules for obtaining

The time for consideration of applications is determined by European legislation, it is 10 days. Consulates have the right to issue "trust visas" to reliable tourists who often travel and have an excellent visa history.

There are several reasons why there are refusals to obtain such an exit document, such as the Schengen visa. The rules, unfortunately, do not provide for an obligatory explanation of the reason for the refusal. Most often this happens because of the provision of an incomplete package of documents, and also because of the doubts that a representative of the embassy has had about your return. The best proof that a tourist does not leave the country permanently is the availability of real estate (especially expensive) and marriage certificates.
