Rabbit from "Winnie the Pooh": character analysis

"Series", as they would say today, about the adventures of the funny bear Winnie the Pooh consists of only two independent works: "Winnie the Pooh" and "House on the Downy Edge", written by A.A. Milne in 26-28 years of the last century, brilliantly translated into Russian B. Zakhoder. What are these good and fair tales, built in the form of short stories told by the father to his son? Probably about friendship, revenue, mutual assistance. And they are just full of joy and optimism, and their stories are like children's games. The writer, as if chuckling and kindly bantering, draws the characters of the main characters. And Rabbit from "Winnie the Pooh" - one of the most interesting characters.

Stoke forest and its inhabitants

Milne placed Christopher Robin, a bear, a rabbit, a piglet and other characters in the Miraculous Forest. Here the main action of these tales takes place. And the Forest itself is a magical place to play, children's fantasies and creative flight. Heroes begin to live their own lives. In this Wonderful Forest time freezes. This is masterfully conveyed by Milne, a long-stretching time of early childhood. Not without reason one of the stories characteristically begins with a sentence: "Long ago, it seems, last Friday ..."

Rabbit from "Winnie the Pooh"

If the Teddy bear is just a symbol of optimism and epicureanism, the Rabbit is the embodiment of practicality and caution. Take at least a well-known episode when Vinnie comes to the character on a visit, and he replies that "there is absolutely no one at home." Rabbit from "Winnie the Pooh" also uses the legs of the stuck Bear to dry the laundry, waiting for him to lose weight. By the way, according to this hero of the fairy tale, he is one of two forest dwellers who have brains (the others have cotton wool). It is for this reason, probably, Rabbit from "Winnie the Pooh" considers himself a very important person. He loves orderliness in everything, he is very angry when someone does something wrong, not according to the rules he has been given. The vegetable garden is the most important thing for him. Digging in the ground, he devotes his time. In the book "Winnie the Pooh" the character first appears in the chapter, when the bear cub goes on a visit.

Soviet cartoon

In 1971, "Soyuzmultfilm" created another magnificent work about the Stakrovy Forest - "Winnie the Pooh goes on a visit", which rightfully became a classic of the genre. A talented translation and original poems by Boris Zakhoder, a genius voice of characters, the ability to highlight the main thing and have time to say it in a short time the cartoon - all this was the key to the success of the tape. Rabbit from "Winnie the Pooh" (Soviet version) - the main character of this film. According to the plot, Pooh and Piglet are visiting Rabbit, and the bear cub, having eaten the dishes, gets stuck on the way out of the burrow. But what to tell - this must be looked at! In general, with the saved main story, this cartoon can be regarded as an independent highly artistic work based on the fairy tale Milne (roughly, as in the story with Pinocchio and Pinocchio).

Rabbit from "Winnie the Pooh" ("Disney" version)

The Disney series of cartoons is more full-length and, so to speak, close to the original (at least in the first series). As always, the characters are well drawn and Christopher Robin is present as one of the main characters (which is not in Soviet cartoons). But this is, rather, a film adaptation than the original work, although it is also very popular with children and adults of all ages.
