Plaster "Tserezit ST 24": properties and applications

For decorative finishing of buildings decorative plasters "Ceresite" are widely used. This coating will last a long time, it is not exposed to moisture and gives the base an attractive appearance. The manufacturer offers various types of dry mixes, one of which is Ceresit ST 24 plaster .

"Tserezit ST 24". Technical characteristics and properties

The material is used to prepare the surface for decorative finishing. The main component of the plaster is cement. Various additives improve the viscosity of the material and its adhesion to the surface. This makes the treated base even, smooth.

There are a number of advantages that the composition of "Ceresite CT 24" possesses. Its characteristics are as follows:

  • Suitable for indoor and outdoor work.
  • Easy to use.
  • The thickness of the layer can reach 3 cm.
  • High vapor permeability.
  • Good thermal insulation.
  • Frost resistance (can withstand up to 50 cycles).

The consumption of the material is 1.2 kg per 1 m 2 of the substrate when applying a layer 1 mm thick.

Application area

"Ceresite CT 24" is used for processing cellular concrete. But it can be applied to other surfaces that are similar in structure:

  • Brick.
  • Aerated concrete.
  • Expanded clay concrete.
  • Foam concrete.
  • Plaster of cement-sand mixture.

Plaster "Tserezit ST 24" is intended for sealing scratches, cracks, pits and other irregularities of the base. A layer of thickness 0.3-3 cm is allowed. These works prepare the surface for decorative finishing. It can be used both indoors and outdoors.

Performance of works

Before applying the plaster, it is necessary to prepare the base. To do this, it is cleaned of dirt and dust. The broken parts of the surface are removed. In some cases, primer is applied.

The plaster solution is applied only to the wetted surface.

Then the solution "Ceresite CT 24" is prepared. The dry mixture is diluted with water at a rate of 5.5-6 liters per bag of 25 kg (0.23 liters per 1 kg of the mixture). Water should not be too cold. Recommended temperature is 15-25 degrees. The composition is thoroughly mixed until a homogeneous mass is obtained. When using a drill with a nozzle, the revolutions should not exceed 600 rpm.

The amount of water added may vary depending on the type of work performed. If a layer of up to 3 cm thick is applied (to fill the notches, cracks), the volume of water is taken at the lower value. In the case of a thin layer of water, more is added.

The mixture is mixed twice with an interval of 5 minutes.

To apply the solution use spatulas, graters and other tools.

To get a smooth surface (for example, for painting), putty putty with a plastic spatula. This must be done before the initial setting of the solution (from 5 minutes to half an hour after application, depending on the temperature). Additionally, there is no need to sand the surface.

Under normal conditions and the presence of ventilation in the interior to the decorative finish can start after 3 days. Outside, the time for complete drying is on average 7 days.

Notes

It is applied "Ceresite CT 24" on the base, the temperature of which should be in the range of 5-30 degrees with the sign "+". The optimal conditions for work are air temperature of 20 degrees and humidity of 60%. The freezing and drying times can be changed if these conditions are not met.

During the solidification of the mixture it must be protected from sunlight and high humidity. At this time, the air temperature should be positive.

Use the prepared solution for 2 hours, until it is dry. The ability of the mixture to retain moisture is 95%.

Fit plaster in hermetically sealed bags weighing 25 kg.

Keep the dry mix of "Ceresite CT 24" in a dry place, protected from moisture, which does not penetrate the sun's rays. Store the mixture in a sealed container for 1 year from the date of manufacture. If the above storage conditions are violated, the quality of the material may deteriorate.

The composition of the plaster is cement. Therefore, the work must comply with the rules of labor protection. Protect eyes and skin from dust. Use personal protective equipment. In particular, the work is carried out in gloves to protect the skin of the hands.

In case of contact with eyes, rinse with water. In complicated situations, consult a doctor.
