True, it was not for decoration that crafts were made, but for personal success, prosperity and prosperity. Is this really so, it is difficult to say, because the studies of scientists on this topic have not been conducted. But one can confidently assert that a good mood is guaranteed both from the contemplation of the creations of human hands, and from the process of their manufacture. Painting from a salt dough by one's own hands is an excellent therapy for spleen, and for especially talented craftsmen can become earnings. So, maybe our ancestors were right?
Making salted dough
A glass of salt should be mixed with the same amount of flour, add half a glass of water and knead the dough. You can, but not necessarily, add a spoonful of vegetable oil to the mixture, in this case the dough will be more elastic and glossy.
Roll the dough into a ball and put it in the fridge for an hour or two. And only after that you can start work.
The picture of a salted dough can be performed by its own methods: from a natural color test, then painted with gouache, or from a color test. To do this, mix the mixed mass into parts, in each of which, gradually, drop by drop, add gouache, until you get the right shade. Now you can start making a picture of a salted dough.

Before painting it must be dried. It is best if the product will dry gradually, naturally. On the windowsill, for example. This will take a long time, about a week, depending on the size of the work. But it's worth it. If the product is dried in the oven, it is obligatory at the lowest temperature of 2-4 hours, it will be much faster. But there is always the possibility of burning, the appearance of cracks, if the temperature was higher than it was needed.
