PGO: what is it and methods of using it

In modern construction, a large number of natural non-metallic materials and their mixtures are used. In most cases it is sand, gravel, clay. At the bottom of reservoirs, rivers and seas, a mixture of sand and gravel is extracted, which is the basis of the PGO. What is it and what is the difference between the ASG and the PSCO?

Mixtures of natural materials

Sand-gravel mixes are very popular and are part of concrete structures used for building houses, laying roads, laying foundation. The quality of the mixtures and their properties depend on where they were mined. The main indicator is binding properties. Often mixtures are required in which the amount of gravel is increased. For this, gravel is added to the natural mixture. Used specially designed for this equipment - a vibrating screen. The result is a mixture of PGSG, the deciphering of which is an enriched sand-gravel mixture. Artificially enriched mixture is part of the concrete: it is combined with cement and water. The main thing is to observe proportions, so that concrete is of the right quality for the purpose for which it is intended. The amount and quality of gravel depends on the area of application of concrete. Natural mixture of PGS contains up to 20% of gravel, and when enriching - its amount is increased to 75%, which is seen in the photo. PSTN and refers to the artificially enriched composition of ASG.

Composition and division of PGOU into groups

Of great importance is the size of the crushing of grains, the presence of clay and silt in the composition of the mixture. All this affects the indicator, such as the strength of the detachment. What is this: the quality indicators of concrete? This is not only strength, but frost resistance.

One of the most popular PJGS is a mixture in which the gravel content is 70%. The remaining 30% percent is sand, in which there are no extraneous impurities. But in the mixture can be present clay, not more than 1% of the total mass, and up to five percent of organic substances. Grains of grains come in different sizes: from 10 to 70 mm. It does not have to be a mix. In the mixture, the grains of one of the fractions are used: their size can be either 10 or 40, 20 or 70 mm. The PGO is divided into groups by content in them in the percentage of gravel:

  • Up to 25%;
  • From 25 to 35%;
  • From 35 to 50%;
  • From 50 to 65%;
  • Up to 75%.

Mode of application

Just as it is divided into groups of PGOU (what is it - already deciphered), and concrete is produced of different types. It all depends on where and for what it is used. The standard way of preparation: take four parts of the mixture, one - cement and ½ part water. Part of the ingredients is determined by weight. When concrete is prepared for laying the foundation, the optimal ratio of parts is 1: 8. Given the amount of gravel in the composition, the type of cement that is taken to prepare the mixture is the concrete of the brand that is required. In road construction, the OGPs make some layers in the basement or the top covering of roads. When building houses, concrete is used not only for the foundation, but also for cement screeds, for concreting floors. On the territory, around the building, the landscape is also made using concrete and a mixture of PGSs.

Features of the mixture

As a building material, the mixture is very convenient and has great popularity in construction work. After all, it perfectly aligns the surface. Especially this quality is useful when laying roads. Buying an enriched sandy-gravel mixture for construction, it is necessary to pay attention to some of its parameters: the group to which it relates, the percentage of clay, dust, silt content in it. All these indicators affect the cost of the PSCO. What is this and how do you know the percentage of content of all inclusions? It should not exceed 3% of the total mass. It is worth paying attention to the fact which gravel fractions: they should not exceed 40 mm. All information is indicated in the documents confirming compliance of the mixture with the requirements of GOST.
