Auto Concern Toyota in the distant 1990 released Land Cruiser 80 - the best SUV ever produced by this company, shook the entire market of 4x4 cars. Despite a decent age, the TLK 80 is superior in its technical characteristics to many modern crossovers. Years that have passed since the release of the car, did not detract from its popularity among motorists who value power, reliability and quality.

Exterior

The main difference between the Land Cruiser is its large dimensions. The manufacturer for such a car has not regretted consumables, which is a huge advantage. The biggest car from the entire Toyota line is difficult to call attractive - apparently the best SUV of the company resembles the army transport. However, despite its heaviness, it looks very solid, taking up a lot of space on the road.

Fans of off-road will appreciate "TLK 80". The wheels of the car have a special tread pattern, which significantly increases the patency on difficult sections of the road. The body is slightly raised above the frame, and along the right pillar of the windshield there is a snorkel. The roof rack is located on the roof and is designed for the transportation of bulky goods. On the back door there is a ladder, which simplifies the lifting to the roof of the car.

But, however, there is also a fly in the ointment: a rather complicated carburetor design requires a one-and-a-half disassembly and cleaning of the entire system, which results in a fairly round sum.

The power of the injector motor is slightly higher and is 205 horsepower. This model is very whimsical and requires only 95-th gasoline of high quality. However, it has its pluses: a good injection system and a long service life (about 200 thousand kilometers).

In principle, the petrol engine in maintenance is not particularly expensive, however, one should immediately prepare for a large fuel consumption: about 20-25 liters per hundred kilometers. Such gluttony, however, is understandable: nevertheless, the bridges of the TLK 80 and its power are binding. The engine is noiseless and smooth running, but for quality work requires regular oil changes, filters and candles. These operations are carried out, as a rule, once per 100 thousand kilometers of run, including the replacement of drive belts.
