95 petrol. The cost of 95 gasoline. Petrol 95 or 92

As we know, for the operation of any internal combustion engine, a certain amount of oxygen and fuel is needed. In simple words, any modern car can not move without gasoline or diesel fuel. It would seem that there is something interesting in such a substance as gasoline? But today you will learn all those interesting facts that were previously unknown to you. So, 95 gasoline - what is special about this liquid?

The process of obtaining fuel from oil

Like the diesel, this substance originates from the refinery. One of such mighty enterprises you can see in the photo below.

Here, from normal oil, high-octane gasoline, as well as other types of fuel, are produced. The very same gasoline is formed during the selection of oil fractions, which boil off at high temperatures (of the order of 100-300 degrees Celsius). Fuel of the first grade is obtained at 100 degrees Celsius. Gasoline of the second grade - at 110-130 degrees. And at a temperature of 265 degrees and above, kerosene is obtained.

In small quantities, 95 gasoline is produced by processing oil shale and coal. In some cases, natural gases and other raw materials from hydrocarbon are used in the production of said liquid. Also, on the open spaces of the CIS, the technology of selecting fractions of fuel with the help of coking resins is often practiced with the use of additional purification.

Scope in various fields

As we said earlier, the main area of application of this fluid is piston internal combustion engines. In addition, they distinguish between automobile and aviation gasoline. The latter is characterized by a high quality index and special operational properties. Modern aviation fuel must meet a number of approved requirements that ensure reliable and harmonious operation of ICE. At the same time, aviation gasoline should have good evaporation. This characteristic allows obtaining a high-quality and homogeneous fuel-air mixture at any temperature and operating mode. The combustion process itself should occur without detonation, and in all modes of operation. In long-term storage, jet fuel does not change its composition and does not have a detrimental effect on the reservoirs in which it is contained, and on the details of the fuel system itself.

Automobile 95 petrol and AI-92 (as an alternative)

Now more in detail about automobile fuel. Many drivers, especially foreign car owners, often rack their brains: what kind of fuel is better to fill - 95 or 92 gasoline? The answer to this question is very ambiguous. The fact that the AI-92 is suitable only for those cars that were produced in the 80 years of the last century. Already in the 90's almost all the world's automakers began to produce cars that run on gasoline with an octane rating of at least 94. That is, almost all modern cars should be filled exclusively with AI-95. In general, the requirements for the octane number are claimed by the manufacturer (this figure can be seen in any operating manual).

On the Sins of Domestic Petrols

True, not only the notorious octane number depends on the quality of the fuel. It is also determined by the presence of acids, various organic compounds, mechanical impurities and sulfur. Unfortunately, the percentage of all the above components at our gas stations is much higher than the standard specified by GOST and DSTU. As a result of the high concentration of sulfur, deposits, and sometimes water, such gasoline during combustion triggers detonation processes. As a result, the engine resource is significantly reduced, and the fuel system itself is seriously clogged. Engine parts with frequent use of such gasoline are susceptible to corrosion, tar and carbon formation. Of course, if such fuel were supplied directly to the engine without passing through fuel filters, then at the first start the engine could safely be sent to a landfill. After all, it is the fine filter, installed from the conveyor to all foreign cars by the manufacturer, collects all the dirt and sediments that could get into the combustion chamber. In this regard, the resource of their operation on our roads is 10-15 thousand kilometers (against 60-80 thousand in Germany!).

What conclusion should be drawn from this? If the technical requirements of your car is designed for AI-95 consumption, you should never pour into its tank 92, as this can significantly aggravate the engine and the fuel system as a whole.

About marking

Earlier we already talked about gasoline AI-95 and AI-92. But in addition, in the CIS countries, fuel is produced with other octane numbers. These are AI-72, AI-76, AI-80, AI-91, AI-93, and also AI-98. In addition, gasoline can be produced in several variations and be leaded, unleaded and unleaded. There are also differences between summer and winter types of fuel, but to a greater extent this difference concerns diesel fuel, since it freezes already at -10 degrees Celsius. At the gas station, fuel can be painted in a variety of colors. For example, the 72nd gasoline gets a pink tint, the 76th is yellow, and the 92nd and 93rd are orange-red. The most expensive, the 98th, is painted in blue. In Western countries, very often you can find signs that say that there are gasoline 95 "Premium" and "Regular". And if we use such ads as an advertising move, then, say, in Germany, this means that the fuel belongs to the 1st grade (Premium) with an octane number of 97-98, or to the second (Regular), which corresponds to Number 90-94. In the USA and Great Britain, you can buy gasoline "Super" with an octane number of 99-102. This is often poured into expensive brands of sports cars.

The price of fuel

The cost of 95 petrol in all countries is different and is constantly changing. It would seem that just a couple of years ago, our refueling stations AI-95 sold for 24-28 rubles. Per liter. Today, at many gas stations, its price has risen to 35-36 rubles per liter (for example, 95 gasoline "Lukoil").

In Turkey, the fuel is sold for more than $ 2 per liter, which translates into our money at about 70 rubles. Approximately the same amount is fuel in the Scandinavian countries and the European Union. True, the quality of such fuel is significantly different from ours, and much better.
