Nutrition for gastritis: basic principles

The modern rhythm of life makes us constantly accelerate the movement. Due to lack of time, we have a cup of strong coffee, snack sandwiches right at the workplace, forgetting about a full dinner, and in the evening we allow ourselves a large portion of heavy fatty foods. This diet is very often the cause of various diseases. Gastritis is one of them. Proper nutrition with gastritis is the basis of treatment. Gastritis is acute and chronic. As a rule, the cause of acute gastritis is eating food with pathogens, and gastritis can also indicate the presence of acute infections or metabolic disorders.

Eating with gastritis: a menu with an acute form of the disease

Fasting is the first stage of a diet for a disease. On the recommendation of a doctor, you can drink unsweetened tea and boiled water. After the disappearance of acute pain, the patient is recommended to give low-fat meat broth. You can also cook rice or barley broth, it is allowed to serve croutons from a regular loaf. As soon as the pain sensations become less noticeable, the diet of the patient can be expanded. After consulting with a doctor, you can add light- boiled eggs, semolina porridge, fruit jelly to light soups.

After a few days, the patient's health will begin to improve noticeably, you can introduce a puree of vegetables (pumpkin, carrots, spinach) into the ration, boiled meat, mashed potatoes, and mashed potatoes. Gradually expanding the menu, you can return to the usual power mode. However, for a long time, fried, too fatty and spicy dishes, seasonings and marinades should be avoided.

Stable inadequate nutrition, regular stress, bad habits, uncontrolled intake of medications - all this can lead to a chronic form of gastritis. Nutrition for chronic gastritis depends on the type of gastric secretion. Acidity can be decreased or increased.

Nutrition for gastritis with high acidity

Lowering the acidity of gastric juice is the main task in the treatment. For this, three types of irritation should be avoided:

  1. Mechanical. It is necessary to refuse food with coarse fiber (turnips, coarse meat, bread with bran, radish, muesli) and from products fried in oil.

  2. Chemical. It is necessary to limit the intake of food products that stimulate gastric secretion: black bread, saturated broths, cabbage, alcohol, coffee, citrus.

  3. Thermal. To prevent irritation of the esophagus, you should exclude the use of very cold and hot food.

Diet with increased acidity: lean meat; River fish; seafood; Albuminous omelets; milk; Cereals (buckwheat, oatmeal); Mashed vegetables and fruits.

Nutrition for gastritis with low acidity

To normalize the work of the stomach, it is necessary to ensure sufficient production of gastric secretion. For this it is necessary to follow the following Recommendations:

  • Thorough chewing food;

  • Duration of food intake - at least 30 minutes;

  • To stimulate secretion before eating it is advisable to use mineral water;

  • The use of low-fat meat;

  • Moderate use of non-fibrous vegetables and fruits;

When treating gastritis should adhere to regular nutrition: it is necessary to provide at least 4-6 basic meals a day, breaks should not be more than 2-3 hours. Rational nutrition with gastritis will help not only get rid of pain symptoms, but also prevent subsequent exacerbations.
