Next Generation Passport

On the basis of Presidential Decree No. 1222 of 19.10.2005, on the application of citizens from 01.01.2006 they are issued with a new generation of passports. The old ones continue to operate, but they are valid only before they are replaced. Samples of new passports were approved by Government Decision No. 298 of 14.03.1997.

How to get?

The application is submitted personally by the applicant. If a new generation passport is needed for a citizen who has not reached the age of 18, he is issued at the request of any parent. The receipt of the document is carried out in the presence of the child.

For issuing a passport, you must pay a state duty of 2500 rubles for adults and for children under 14 years - 1200 rubles. When applying, you need to provide an identity document. For men aged 18-27 years, an additional military card or certificate of deferment will also be required.

In the application it will be necessary to indicate information for the last 10 years of work or study. If the activity was not carried out at any time, it is also introduced. The data provided must be certified by the organization's managers at the place of work or study. At itself there should be a work book, for PI - the certificate and its copy, for pensioners - the pension certificate.

The application is filled in the computer version. When writing it, it is not allowed to make corrections with the corrector or strikethrough. In the event that inaccurate information is entered into the application, the applicant will respond in accordance with the liability established by law.

To get a new generation passport, you must first pass the old one. An exception is the case when the work activity (work) of a citizen is directly related to the need to regularly travel outside the Russian Federation and, for some reason, he does not have the right to obtain an official or diplomatic passport. This is possible only at the request of the organization in which the person works, and if the visits are carried out at least once a month. Also, an old passport can be temporarily left to a citizen if there are no clean pages in it, but there are current visas for other states. It marks the "canceled".

A new-generation passport for foreigners is issued within a month if the application is written in the place of residence, and if at the place of temporary stay - within four months.

The following documents are required for registration:

1. two copies of the application form with the introduction of certified information about the work activity. When applying non-working citizens, the information is certified by the FMS officer in accordance with the supporting documents. 2. The work book or a copy of it (certified);

3. Two 3x4 photos on applications. (There is no need to provide them, since three-dimensional photography is carried out in the subdivision of the Federal Migration Service);

4. receipt confirming payment of state duty;

5. old foreign passport;

6. The general passport and photocopies of 2, 3, 19-th pages, as well as pages with residence permit.

What is a foreign passport?

The new generation passport contains a separate plastic page with an embedded (implanted) non-contact type microcircuit with an antenna. In the microcircuit, these persons are entered on the first page, namely: name, gender and date of birth, digital photograph, passport number, date of receipt and expiration. The volume of non-volatile memory is 72 kilobytes. In the chip, you can make additional biometric information (the image of the iris , fingerprints, etc.). A new generation passport is issued for 10 years. Is valid for departure and entry into the Russian Federation.
