Nettle soup

After a cold and gloomy winter, the body needs vitamin boost and energy. Once everything starts to come to life, to turn green and blossom, together with the weeds, you can find a valuable plant - nettle. In spring, dishes with greens always become a priority on family tables. Housewives are well aware of the benefits of green plants and rush to pamper the household by preparing dishes from nettles. There are a lot of varieties of cooking culinary masterpieces with a "burning resident of the forest". We bring to your attention your version of the dish of nettles, a recipe for soup.

Ingredients for appetizing and healthy dishes:

  • Nettle - about 300 grams;
  • Potato tubers - 6-8 pieces:
  • Carrots - 2 pieces;
  • Onion - 2 pcs;
  • Meat (beef or pork) - 300 g;
  • Green peas - 250 g;
  • Eggs of chicken - 4 pieces;
  • Vegetable oil - 3 tablespoons;
  • Seasonings - salt, pepper to taste.

We begin to prepare the soup from the nettle. First you need to cook the meat broth: thoroughly wash the meat, cut into small portions and let it boil. When there is foam - remove the noise, cook on a small fire until the moment when the meat begins to separate from the stone.

Let's start preparing the vegetables. One bulb is cleaned and cut into 4 pieces, not cutting to the tail, so that the head held together. So it is most convenient to remove it from the broth. We also cut one carrot into small pieces and add it to our meat along with a bulb.

While the broth is brewed, prepare the greens. To prepare the soup from the nettle, you should first scald it with enough boiling water and rinse under cold water. When excess moisture drains, you can safely take your hands for the leaves - they do not represent any danger to the skin. Nettle finely chopped and set aside - it is added to the soup at the very last turn to preserve all its useful properties.

Potatoes are cleaned, washed and cut into small pieces. As soon as the meat begins to lag behind the bone, we remove the onions and carrots with a skimmer - they will not be of any use to us. Meat is separated from the bone and cut into portions. Add the potatoes and meat to the broth and put them on a slow fire.

We make a roast for our soup. Finely cut the second onion, rub on a large grater carrot and pass the frying pan with the addition of vegetable oil on medium heat. When the vegetables are soft - turn off, and 15 minutes before the end of cooking, add to our fragrant, green nettle soup. In the broth lay out the prepared nettle, canned or frozen polka dots, salt and pepper to taste.

In the ready-made nettle soup, add raw chicken eggs. Previously, they beat well with a whisk, and before removing the pot from the plate, we put it into the broth with a thin trickle, stirring constantly. Turn off the soup, let it brew for 5-10 minutes and can be served to the table, seasoning with sour cream. You can also separately boil the eggs and put a dish in each plate to put half of the eggs.

Nettle soup - a very tasty and surprisingly useful dish, and yet it is incredibly beautiful and nutritious. Bon Appetit!
