But all these rules are in no way applicable to a boxer named Mayorga Ricardo, because he never concealed his passion for cigarettes from the public. Nevertheless, smoking did not stop him from becoming a world champion.

Mayorga Ricardo was born on October 3, 1973 in Managua. Already at school age from showed excellent results in sports training and on the advice of the school teacher began to engage in boxing. All this allowed him to overcome many everyday difficulties and without problems go through an urgent army service in his homeland. By the way, as an amateur boxer, he played for the army team.

On January 25, 2003 the world saw in all its glory a versatile box. Ricardo Mayorga came out to fight with the then-current WBC champion Vernon Forrest. A technical and flexible American was considered an unconditional favorite. But to the great surprise of the audience, Matador in the third round knocked out the Viper and took himself two belts, becoming the main boxer in the division. But even more striking was the result of a rematch match, in which again the triumphant was the Nicaraguan.

Ricardo Mayorga, whose fights always attracted the public with his entertainment, in December 2003, was again near the pedestal. His offender was Cory Spinks - champion of the IBF. The fight lasted the entire distance, and as a result, the American proved to be stronger on points, having competently beaten Nicaraguans in the class.

But the most offensive for Ricardo was the defeat at the hands of the legendary Felix Trinidad. It happened in October 2004.
