In one of his interviews, he shared the fact that, despite the fact that in the very name of the circus one can see a slight disdainful connotation, people voluntarily go into this profession, staying in it forever and risking their own lives 5-6 times a day. Therefore, he with some trepidation calls such people abnormal, with a certain deviation from the generally accepted norms. They absolutely consciously live in the incessant extreme, which is not received for the sake of courage. For them it's just a favorite work. So, Maxim Nikulin, the son of a great Soviet clown and an actor who worked for many years as the director of the circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard, Yuri Nikulin.

He and his father tried to make this circus for spectators so familiar and even familiar that each of them could say: "Yes, this is my circus".

Childhood of the son of the clown

In the family of Tatyana Nikolayevna and Yury Vladimirovich Nikulin , joy came: on November 15, 1956, they had a son, Maxim. Although he grew up in a family of very famous parents, he learned the most ordinary in school. Like other children, Maxim could hooligan, get a deuce or even break glass in the window. And then the teachers used their favorite method against the disobedient schoolboy: they threatened that they would write a letter to the pope on tour. The boy, of course, understood that they would never do this, if only because his father was running around the country and writing, in general, there was nowhere. But still, just in case, changed his behavior for the better.

Of course, Maxim Nikulin Experienced a shortage of parental warmth and attention, because in a whole year he saw his father and mother, if you add up all the days when they lived together, about a couple of months. Even as an adult, he even joked about this, saying that he was born when his father was on set, and he was lucky that his mother was there.

Tatyana Nikolaevna and Yuri Vladimirovich were almost always together. And she became a clowness in order to be with her husband at work. True, this is not the only reason. Another motive was that Tatyana Vladimirovna liked this very much. After all, the circus never leaves anyone indifferent. Can either completely alienate, or attract. Forever. But the career was, oddly enough, a minor moment. Yes, it is clear that she did not want to leave her husband for long, because she understood: frequent shooting and tours can shake the solid foundation of their family.

But there was also a flip side of the coin. The opinion of her husband. Maxim Nikulin said that the pope, being a very gifted and talented person, understood that his wife would never turn out to be a great, serious actress. He greatly loved her, respected and appreciated her. Therefore, I could not allow my mother to become a very mediocre actress.

Talking about his father, Nikulin Maxim Yurievich with great respect and special warmth remembers one case. When he was still in primary school, he got into the hospital: the boy had quite serious kidney problems. Maxim survived several operations, after one of them he was left with a single kidney. Treated him as much as 4 months. And the doctors admitted later that there were several days when they were not sure that the child would survive. Yuri Vladimirovich in these months was on tour. He had to go out every day to the circus arena and give the spectators smiles.

And after each speech, when the hall could see tears of laughter on the faces of people, Nikulin senior, going behind the scenes, rushed to the phone to find out how his son was there, whether he was alive. It was a very difficult period in his life.

And now, eighteen years after his death, Maxim Nikulin (unlike many other children of different ages of famous parents) never takes offense, if journalists are more likely to ask about his father, not about him. He realizes that he can not be an equivalent, adequate replacement for the famous father.

Work path

Initially Maxim Nikulin, whose biography almost from the very beginning was interested in fans of his father's talent, studied at day time, and later transferred to the evening and decided to look for an interesting work. What he found fit him perfectly: "Moskovsky Komsomolets", an excellent young team, a wonderful atmosphere, everyone is ready to work without days off. But with the arrival of the new chief editor Maxim was reduced. After two unemployed months he got a job as a junior editor on the radio "Mayak". And I am still convinced that the time spent there is not only a serious, good job, but also a useful period for him, because he was obliged to attend weekly weekly classes in speech technology and Russian language seminars with the rest of the staff. The whole team was put in voices, educators and speakers were taught correctly and literally. The mistakes that were made by the older students were then dealt with on the fly. And today Maxim Yurievich is very surprised that anyone directly from the street can go into the studio and sit in the air studio, starting a conversation with the viewers.

Since 1985, he started working at Ostankino as a special correspondent. A little later he was a commentator, a correspondent, a host of programs.

Somewhat later Maxim Nikulin's life turned so that after all he came to the circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard. The deputy director of the circus was killed. Yuri Vladimirovich Nikulin decided that he had no right to risk the lives of other people and asked his son to help him on a voluntary basis in resolving certain issues. After all, he (Nikulin-senior), as a person exceptionally creative, had difficulty solving financial problems, including various contracts, contracts, projects. But the couple did not save it. There followed a divorce. In the third marriage - with Maria Nikulina - two sons were born: Jura and Maxim.
