It is possible to diagnose the presence of criminals by finding their eggs (nits). Nevertheless, nits usually attach to hairs and can be detected even after successful treatment. Such eggs are considered dead and accordingly harmless.
Treatment
If the usual lotions and shampoos ("Nix" and others) were not able to destroy your pubic lice, the doctor will prescribe stronger drugs, for example:
- "Malathion." This insecticide is dispensed by prescription. It is applied to the affected areas and washed off after 8-12 hours.
- Ivermectin. This drug is taken once in the amount of two tablets. If a single dose is ineffective, you can take two more pills after ten days.
- Lindane. This is the most dangerous and toxic insecticide, which is prescribed only in the case when all other methods of getting rid of lice did not bring results. To forget for a long time what mandanoids are, the patient rubs Lindan into the affected area and rinses it in four minutes. This drug is not prescribed for pregnant and lactating women, young children, the elderly and those who weigh less than fifty kilograms.
Thorough examination and treatment are subject to all areas of the body with hair, since pubic lice, fleeing insecticides, are able to move from the genitals to other areas. Shaving is not effective in fighting parasites.
