But back to production. It is based on infusion, not distillation, lemon rind on alcohol. The product also includes sugar and water. In the industrial production of this drink, the process of preparation of limoncello emulsification in special machines is being completed. But to prepare this drink at home, it is quite permissible to skip this stage.

So, what do you need to prepare a limoncello liqueur ? The recipe is pretty simple. For five lemons you need to take three hundred grams of sugar and half a liter of alcohol and water. After washing the lemons and peeling them off, fold the zest into a glass bowl, pour alcohol, close tightly and leave in a dark place for three weeks. It is important that the alcohol is of good quality. It's alcohol. Limoncello on vodka - this is not limoncello. After three weeks in the warm water dissolve the sugar and cool this syrup. Mixing it with lemon tincture, which must first be filtered through cheesecloth, freeing from fine sediment and peel, leave to infuse in the dark for a week. After this time you can taste Italy!
