Legendary flowers from corrugated paper with their own hands

Corrugated paper with its light and compact structure is surprisingly reminiscent of a delicate floral petal. Therefore, it is convenient to make those flowers in which it is necessary to convey tenderness, to imitate the gracefulness and curvature of the inflorescences. If you try, flowers from corrugated paper turn out to be strikingly similar to the real ones.

To make our crafts more beautiful, you need to know the history of each flower and the myths associated with it before you start working. Let's start a story about how to make flowers from corrugated paper, with a wonderful and magnificent peony. One of the Greek myths narrates about the disciple of the legendary healer Asclepius, Peon. The god of the underworld, Hades, was seriously injured by Hercules, and Peon managed to heal him. In gratitude, Hades turned a young man into a magnificent flower.

To make a peony, corrugated paper of pink and yellow color, PVA glue, scissors, copper wire, cardboard and compasses will be needed. We cut the pink corrugated paper into 3 strips measuring 2.5 x 3.5 cm, and from the yellow cut off the piece for the stamens - 7.5 x 2.5 cm. Three strips are cut into 9 small rectangles - a total of 27 rectangles of corrugated paper. Each such rectangle is folded in half along the corrugation line, carefully form the petals, squeezing the fold line and straightening the edges. From the cardboard, using a compass and scissors, we cut a circle with a diameter of 7.5 cm. To the edge of the cardboard circle, we glue the first petal. Each subsequent petal is glued so that it slightly overlaps the previous one and was closer to the center of the circle - that is, we glue not in a circle, but in a spiral.

We do not stop, having reached the level of the first petal, and continue to glue the second layer. After gluing it, cut off the remaining petals of 0.5 cm and glue them with the third layer, also in a spiral. We make stamens: fold the yellow paper in half across the corrugation, finely cut the tips, forming a fringe, thread or glue fix the stamens in a not very tight roll and attach it to the middle of the flower. Flowers from corrugated paper will be very stylish, if you take care of the stem. To do this, to the paper wound around the green paper, you need to attach the leaves cut from solid green paper.

Magnolia flowers are simply wonderful. It is said that the tree of magnolia is the ancestor of all the now flowering trees. It arose more than 20 million years ago. How to make flowers from corrugated paper, so that they fully convey the elegance and fragility of the magnolia? To do this, we need corrugated paper of soft pink color, glue, scissors, wire, tape, cardboard. First of the cardboard we cut out 2 stencils in the shape of an ellipse - big and small. Using a stencil of corrugated paper, we cut out along the corrugation line 4 large and 4 small petals. We form petals: both edges of the ellipse are slightly twisted, and we straighten the middle. The upper end of the ellipse is tucked inside. We form a ball of glue from the tape, so that it does not unwind, you can use glue. To this "inflorescence" we glue small petals, then - big. Straighten the petals so that the flowers from the corrugated paper look like they just ripped off.

The homeland of the tulip is Iran. In ancient Persia, this flower was called "Tulipan" - by the name of the headdress in the form of a turban. And in England they believe that fairies or elves live in tulip cups. Flowers from corrugated paper, imitating tulips, are made very simply. To do this, you need to cut 6 strips of paper of any color measuring 2.5 × 17 cm along the corrugation line. Each strip should be folded in half, squeezed and tightened, and the edges of both layers of paper spread out to form petals. Wire the stalk with green paper. Place 3 petals around the stem and then 3 outer ones so that the holes are closed. Form the bud. To keep the petals on the stem, fasten them with a tape moistened with glue. From the dense green paper, make the leaves, attach them to the stem and lightly twist, like the natural leaves of a tulip.
