LED bulbs: reviews for and against

Technical development never stands still, and replaced by years of household appliances and devices are coming all new, more advanced models. Often at first, this causes distrust, but very soon novelties occupy a place of honor in the everyday life of users. Only in that case, of course, if they are really useful. To such important inventions of mankind it is possible to attribute the nowadays growing popularity of LED lamps. Reviews on most sites say in their favor, but still worth a closer look at some important features. So, where and for what can LED bulbs be used?

Application area

LED technology came to replace the so-called "energy-saving" lamps. The latter, in fact, are the same usual fluorescent incandescent lamp, only with a built-in regulating device. The latter allows to significantly increase the service life of the model and thereby reduce the cost of regular purchases of new ones. But this useful find is gradually disappearing into the past, because it was replaced by LEDs. The technology of their creation was invented in the last century, but found the necessary resources for the embodiment only in our days. New lamps can be used both in flashlights and car tapes, and at home as a replacement for standard light bulbs. They are also great for installing color lighting (for example, in a nightclub) and indicators in the production.

Customer's opinion

In the question of whether or not to use LED lamps, the feedback of other consumers who have already tried this type of lighting will be very welcome. Perhaps, they will help the buyer to make the right decision. Below are the pros and cons of LED lighting at home. Like any novelty in the market of technical devices, this invention causes an ambiguous attitude. There are industries where LEDs are simply indispensable, but not always they are practical.

LED bulbs: reviews are positive

One of the advantages of such coverage is its absolute harmlessness. Unlike other lamps made on the basis of energy-saving technology, LEDs do not contain mercury and other harmful substances. Another plus is that their spectrum does not radiate a UV-hazardous eye. Often it is harmful radiation that causes fatigue, and in the future - and reducing visual acuity in people. Such lamps do not heat up. Of course, the main incentive for the acquisition will be unsurpassed economy, because the power consumption of LED lamps is much lower than that of analogues. This type of lighting consumes three times less electricity than energy-saving lamps and almost nine times less than conventional fluorescent lamps.

This significant difference is reinforced by the long life of the LEDs. Manufacturers promise more than 30,000 hours of continuous operation, which exceeds the life of conventional lamps by several (!) Thousand times. When buying a warranty period of three to five years. The base of these lamps corresponds to the usual standards, so that the use in the home does not require any special conditions. The light temperature of LEDs is divided into three main types: yellow, lighter and cooler white. For the house it is sufficient to use the first type of lamps with a pleasant warm shade of rays. They have a designation from 2700 to 3500 ° K. Higher power is suitable for working production facilities or, for example, bright store windows.

LED bulbs: reviews vs. use

The main disadvantage of using such light bulbs is a relatively high cost. Despite the obvious benefit from their use, many people still prefer old, proven options. Another trouble that limits the introduction of LEDs into everyday life is a narrowly focused light. LEDs do have a less diffuse flow than other types of lamps, so when equipping a home, more devices may be needed. This is especially noticeable in the example of street lighting, which, with the rare placement of luminaires, can be produced with stripes of dark areas. Also it was noticed that by the end of the life of the LED lamps gradually lose in brightness (about 10-20 percent).

As can be seen from the foregoing, the opinions of consumers are divided almost equally. Despite the grand future foretold to them, LED lamps have not yet replaced their counterparts from the market, but occupy a worthy place on the shelves of stores. And the choice of which lighting is best used is always left to the buyer.
