History

The machine in question is being manufactured since 1993. During this time, four generations have been replaced.

Production of the first Sportage (NB-7) was completed in 2006. It was also produced in Russia ("Avtotor").

The fastest, despite slightly lower performance, is a turbocharged 1.6 liter car. "Kia Sportage" in this modification in the same disciplines has indicators of 9.1 and 4.7 with, respectively. Least of all, diesel fuel spends fuel: 7.9 liters in the city, 5.3 liters on the highway and 6.3 in mixed conditions. It is followed by 1.6 liters of Sportage: 9.2, 6.5, 7.5 liters, respectively. The least powerful version is also the most expensive fuel. The front-wheel drive version with MKPP spends 10.7 liters in the city, 6.3 liters on the track, 7.9 liters in the mixed mode. The all-wheel drive machine with the "automatic" exceeds it by approximately 0.5 liters.

Top Gear testers note the good power consumption of the suspension, especially in comparison with the model of the previous generation, with precise control, as well as the smooth operation of the diesel and automatic transmission. At the same time, the journalists of "Wheels" talk about the relatively noisy operation of the diesel engine.

The initial version is a 2-liter petrol engine. The price of cars of the current year without discounts is from 1.25 to 2 million rubles. Diesel Sportage can be purchased for 1.905 - 2.095 million rubles. The petrol turbine version is sold for 2.065 million rubles.
