Installation of water supply and heating system

To make life in a country house comfortable and comfortable is possible only by performing such an operation as the installation of a water supply system and, of course, heating. When designing a communication project of both types, a lot of different factors should be considered. About which ones, and we will talk in this article. Also, let's take a closer look at how to properly build such systems yourself.

Design

Before proceeding with operations such as the installation of water supply and heating systems, you need to determine the source of supply. Suburban areas are usually located very far from centralized engineering systems. And consequently and to use the most simple way - connection to a common water main is often simply impossible. Therefore, the owners of residential country houses or cottages have to choose one of three alternative options:

  • Drill a well "on the sand";
  • Dig in the yard or garden well;
  • Order specialists to drill an artesian well.

Each of these ways of providing a country house with drinking and technical water, as well as a heating medium of the heating system, has its pluses and minuses.

Well in the yard

This is the simplest and cheapest technology. Water when using the well is fed from a depth of no more than 5-15 meters. Therefore, in most cases, all work can be done independently, without the involvement of expensive equipment and hiring specialists. The supply of water to the house from such a source is made using a conventional pump installed in the basement. From the well to it conducts the pipe laid in a trench. In the basement it is planted through a through insulated hole in the foundation.

Digging a well, you can provide yourself with water for at least 50 years in advance. However, this method of water supply has a number of significant drawbacks. First, the mine will have to be cleaned periodically. Secondly, the quality of water in wells during spring floods or heavy rains may not be too good.

Well "on the sand"

Work on the arrangement of such a source of water supply can also be done independently - with the help of a garden drill. The depth of sand wells reaches 50 m. But in most cases, the water intake sand layer can be detected as early as 15 m from the surface of the earth. In the drilled well, a deep pump descends on the strong cable. The water is supplied to the house through pipes, as in the first case, laid in a trench. In the basement, a pump is installed, and then internal water supply systems are installed.

There are many advantages to this method: cheapness of the arrangement, high-quality water, uninterrupted supply, etc. But, having decided to use this source of supply, one should keep in mind that it can last no more than 8 years.

Artesian well

This source of feed is best for a large cottage. Designing and installation of water supply systems for buildings of a large area is usually entrusted to specialists. However, even if the site owners for some reason decide to build it themselves, they still have to hire professionals to drill a well of this kind.

Artesian mines supply water from the calcareous layer, which lies much lower than the sandy one - at a depth of up to 135 m. Thus, without the use of special equipment in this case, it will not be possible to manage. But the water supplied from such a well is the cleanest. At the same time, it will most likely be beaten from the pipe by itself - under pressure. With this method of providing a suburban building with water, in most cases it is even possible to do without a pump. In addition, at the source of this type of supply it is allowed to install heating and water supply systems for several cottages or houses.

Choice of equipment

Having defined the type of the source, you can proceed to perform all necessary calculations and drawing up drawings. First of all, it will be necessary to determine the type of equipment. The pump capacity is calculated based on the amount of water required to ensure a comfortable living and the source's remoteness. For continuous supply, it is usually sufficient to lay a 32 mm diameter pipe in the trench. Increase it will only if the source is located very far from home. In the building itself, usually plastic or polypropylene pipes of ½ and ¾ in diameter are used. The volume of the accumulator is calculated based on the number of people living in the house. It is these advice on the choice of equipment for home masters are usually given by specialists who perform professional installation and repair of water supply systems in private homes.

Those wishing to have a shower and a bath in the house, among other things, will need to purchase a special heater. Most often in country houses for the device of hot water supply gas columns are used. If the main to the settlement is not supplied, you will have to buy an electric heater model.

Installation of water supply system: installation of a supply pipe

So, the project is made, and the equipment is purchased. Now you can proceed with the actual assembly of the system. The installation of the supply pipe must be carried out in accordance with the following rules:

  • The trench leading from the well or borehole to the house should be laid at a slight angle. Otherwise, the water in the pipe will stagnate.
  • The depth of the trench should not be less than 50-70 cm. This is necessary in order to prevent the freezing of water in the pipe during the winter period of time. At the bottom of the trench a sand cushion is arranged.
  • The pipe is inserted into the house through a through insulated hole in the foundation.

At the next stage, you can proceed with such an operation as the installation of a cold water supply system, and if necessary also hot, inside the building. Beforehand, a pump is connected to the pipe leading from the well. Then a special valve is installed to prevent the reverse flow of water. After this, the

Piping in the building

Connection of various kinds of plumbing fixtures in the house happens:

  • Consistent. In this case, the pipe is simply passed through the walls of the house. Bath, sinks, tank, shower, etc. are connected to it by means of tees. This scheme is suitable for a small house.
  • Collector. According to this technology, water supply systems are usually installed in residential country cottages. In this case, a separate pipe is provided to each consumer from the common reservoir. This scheme allows you to ensure the same pressure of water in every point of the house.

After connection to the pump system, a hydraulic accumulator is installed, followed by a tee, to which two pipes are connected. One in the future will serve water for household needs, the second - drinking water. The cleaning filters are installed on the latter, after which it is connected to the collector.

Installation of hot water supply system

When assembling such a structure, a heater is pre-attached to the wall. On the pipe with drinking water, after the purification filter, another tee is installed. A second pipeline is connected to it, which is fed to the water heater.

House heating

The implementation of such an operation as the installation of a water supply system - the procedure in some cases is quite difficult. It is even more difficult to arrange efficient heating in the house.

However, if you want, you can try to do it yourself and this operation. In this case, first of all, it is necessary to determine the type:

  • The boiler. Usually in country houses are installed gas. Two-circuit models can serve simultaneously as water heaters in the hot water supply system.
  • The system itself. In small houses, structures with natural circulation of the coolant are usually mounted. In residential cottages are assembled systems with forced.
  • Pipe. In residential buildings, most often used metal-plastic, characterized by ease of installation and durability.
  • Radiators. The most popular battery options to date are aluminum and bimetallic.

The capacity of the expansion tank depends on the volume of the coolant in the system. The power of the circulation pump is from the length of the mains.

Among other things, it should also be decided which system will be carried out in the house: one-pipe or two-pipe. The first option is usually used only in houses of a small area. Installation of a two-pipe water supply system is more complicated, but such designs are much more convenient, since the radiators in them are heated to the same extent.

Stages of installation of the heating system

Actually, the assembly itself is done like this:

  • The boiler is installed. To connect it to the gas line according to the regulations it is necessary to call specialists.
  • The walls are fastened to the mains.
  • Radiators are connected. It's best to place them under the windows. In this case, the distance from the floor to the bottom edge of each battery should not be less than 10 cm. All May radiators are fitted with Mayevsky cranes.
  • An expansion tank is mounted next to the boiler on the return piping.
  • On the bypass the circulation pump is fixed. Before it is installed cleaning filter.
  • The mains are connected to the boiler connections.

After all the components have been assembled, the system is pressurized. That is, water is pumped into the pipes under high pressure. In case of detection of leaks, measures are taken to eliminate them.

In fact, the installation of heating and water supply systems is rather complicated, having a lot of nuances. In a small dacha or single-storey residential building, you can do it yourself. But for posting such communications in a cottage, it is more likely that it will be better to hire specialists who are well versed in this business.
