Inflammation of the gallbladder in a child

Inflection of the gallbladder in a child is an anomaly in the development of the organ. Often in pediatric practice, this phenomenon is detected by accident with ultrasound of the abdominal cavity. The bend of the gallbladder, the consequences of which can be expressed in violation of the work of the bile withdrawal system, can be expressed or double. In this case, the body itself can be adopted S-shaped. Inflection of the gallbladder in a child can cause pain and discomfort in the area of the right hypochondrium. As practice shows, rare cases reveal more complex anomalies, but they are extremely diverse.

Inflection of the gallbladder in a child usually appears on the boundary between the bottom and the body. Anomalies are prone to either a smaller or larger department of the organ. In some cases, the bend of the gallbladder in a child can be detected in several places, so that the organ can have a very unusual shape (for example, look like an hourglass or a boomerang).

Rough (very pronounced) anomalies, as a rule, are manifested in the first days of children's life. First of all, yellowing of the skin is observed, which indicates a violation in the outflow of bile.

Minor anomalies do not significantly affect the well-being and movement of bile.

Clinical manifestations of organ abnormalities can occur in different age periods. In many cases, the inherent characteristics of its development and structure are manifested after many years, often in the school period.

In most cases, anomalies in the structure of the gallbladder arise from prolonged chronic cholecystitis or cholelithiasis. The development of inflammation on the outer wall of the organ leads to the formation of adhesions, due to which the deformation of the organ occurs. This, in turn, causes disturbances in digestion and changes in the composition of bile.

In a number of cases, short-term incomplete twisting of the organ around the longitudinal axis is observed. It is the result of making sudden movements or lifting the heaviness. This situation is typical for older people who have a significant omission of the internal organs, cholelithiasis or enlargement of the gallbladder. In cases where there is a twisting on the axis several times, symptoms such as weakness, vomiting, sharp sharp pains in the right abdominal area, bloating, excessive sweating are manifested. These conditions occur due to impaired blood circulation and the formation of cracks. Through the cracks, bile flows into the abdominal cavity. In this case, you need to immediately seek help from a specialist.

Bend of the gallbladder. Treatment.

The revealed congenital anomaly is not characterized as pathology. Therefore, in many cases with congenital excess, treatment is not prescribed.

If you have severe symptoms, the doctor may be prescribed medication, which is administered by two-week courses. As a rule, drugs are prescribed for three to four months. It is recommended to repeat therapeutic treatment every three months. Usually, cholagogue medicines are prescribed (Odeston, Gepabene, Flamin and others). There are a number of synthetic drugs, the reception of which is recommended by two-week courses for six months. These include Nikodin, Oxifenamid, Tsikvalon. The appointment of any medication should be accompanied by a doctor's supervision.

Together with drug therapy, physiotherapy including electrophoresis with novocaine and ultrasound is also recommended. After reducing the exacerbation, therapeutic gymnastics is recommended.

A prerequisite for carrying out therapeutic measures is adherence to a special diet by patients.
