How to tune a guitar without music education

In order to learn how to adjust the quality of guitars, it's not necessary to spend a few years studying in a music school. Often enough to remember the technology of this process. After the basic principles are mastered, there are practically no problems with the configuration.

So how do you set up a guitar, where do you start? In order for all the strings to match the sound of their standard height, you will need a guitar tuner - tuning fork. On it the first string is tuned, and on it already all the others. The tuning fork can be acoustic (in the form of a small metal whistle), mechanical (representing some kind of fork) or electronic. The latter kind can be attributed as separate special musical devices, and computer programs. But the use of the program is not very convenient, since low-quality speakers can distort sound, and the instrument will be faked.

Optimal for the ratio of price, quality and convenience is the acoustic tuning fork. It has an undeniable advantage - the ability to extract sound without using your hands. This is very convenient, because it simplifies the setup process.

And how to set up a guitar if there is no tuning fork at hand? In this situation, it is not at all necessary to rush about in the panic over acquaintances in search of this instrument that is useful in the musical case. After all, if a guitarist plans to give solo concerts, he can easily afford to set the sound of the first string arbitrarily, and adjust the remaining five, based on this sound. After all, in this case, the inaccuracy of the system will not cause dissonance with other instruments for lack of them, and the harmony of the sound will be observed, which, in essence, in this situation is the basic requirement for the instrument.

So, the guitar has six strings: mi, si, salt, re, la, and another one, a few octaves below the first. The listed sounds are given in order of lowering the tone, from the highest one (which is usually called the first) to the lowest, the sixth. Often guitar strings are denoted by letters of the Latin alphabet: 1-E, 2-H or B, 3-G, 4-D, 5-A, 6-E.

The first string is tuned with a tuning fork or arbitrarily. The second, jammed at 5 fret, should sound in unison (that is, be absolutely identical in height) with the first open. And how to adjust the guitar, if this effect is not achieved? In this case, the sound of the string changes with a cleave, allowing you to adjust the pitch of the sound. When you rotate in one direction, the sound becomes higher, the lower one. If it's hard for you to determine by ear, discordant sound is high or low, you should lower the tone somewhat more than required, and gradually twist the peg to the desired pitch.

The third string for achieving the sound identical with the open second is clamped on the fourth fret, and the fourth and subsequent strings, like the second one, on the fifth (to achieve a sound identical to the open neighboring, higher string).

As you can see, the process technology is very simple. If you carefully read the above information, then the question: "How to set up the guitar?" No longer stand on the way to mastering you this wonderful tool.
