Igor Kapranov: biography

The future soloist was born on 15.06.1986 in the town of Sovetsk near Kaliningrad. His parents by this time were allegedly already divorced, so the upbringing of little Igor was engaged in grandfather and grandmother.

At the age of four, the mother took the baby to Leningrad in Vsevolozhsk. There he also had a sister, Katya.

In 2008, he graduated in St. Petersburg, graduating from the State Forestry Academy. He studied at the Forestry Faculty.

9.01.2004 "Amatori" band gave a concert in St. Petersburg "Orlandin". Kapranov was invited by a guest to the stage, where he was performed a song.

It was a good success and made a good impression on the team members. He was invited to become a vocalist of the group, replacing Alexei Ovchinnikov, who had friction with the rest of the team because of the divergence in musical preferences.

Igor Kapranov immediately gave his consent to become a new soloist of the "Amatori" collective and left "Stigmatu".

Fruitful work in the group

In the same 2005 Igor Kapranov, whose photo became more and more flickering in rock magazines, became the winner of the project "Rock Alternatives Music Price" as the best vocalist of the year.

With his participation, "Amatore" recorded three albums in the studio, released a number of singles and 3 DVD-editions. The collective gave not one hundred successful concerts.

On November 27, 2009, the single "Crimson Dawn" was released by the "Amatori" band and it was announced about the intention to prepare a new album. At this point, the group was on tour Sick and loud.

During the concerts, the presentation of the fresh track "Empire of Evil" took place, by this time the work on the instrument of the new album was completed. For the summer period of 2010 the band has planned to participate in several concerts at various rock festivals.

Unexpected departure of the vocalist

06/28/2010 Igor Kapranov unexpectedly announced that he intends to leave the rock party and give himself up to religious activities - secluded in the monastery walls. This statement became absolutely unexpected for his fans and generated a lot of gossip among fans of rock.

In April 2011, Igor, in the form of an audio recording, congratulated the members of the Amatori group on the tenth anniversary of the formation of the collective. About himself, he said that he has great health.

He explained the reason for leaving the group with personal problems and a desire to radically change his way of life in order to regulate everything within himself.

In August of the same year, he gave an interview for A-ONE, where he explained the reasons for his departure to the monastery walls. They also expressed an intention to participate in the concerts of the anniversary tour "Amatori" as a guest.

A little later, the group "Shards" was re-recorded by the group "Amatori", where the voices of two vocalists - Kapranov and Vyacheslav Sokolov - sounded simultaneously, which in this capacity replaced him in the group. The same composition served as the basis for the video clip "Shards of 2011".

The spring of 2012 was once again remembered by Igor's fans for the fact that he suspended his creative activity and actively took up his family.

In May 2014, Igor participated in the filming of the video "Do not forget me", created by the band Jane Air.

For him, existence in church life became quite natural, in connection with which he simply does not think about it, as, for example, nobody thinks about how the process of breathing takes place, everyone just breathes everything. Rock music has become simply boring for him, she can not be taken seriously.

Igor offered to evaluate the last clip "Sleer": if its creators consider their work serious, then, according to Igor, they are in a psychiatric hospital, as socially dangerous personalities.

Currently, as a member of the Russian-Byzantine choir, which bears the name of Pachomiya Logofet, he is actively engaged in practical liturgical and educational activities.
