Linkin Park albums: 15 years of stunning experiments
If we talk about modern rock legends, then not to mention Linkin Park will be just a crime. The guys from Los Angeles have made a lot of noise during the 15 years of their existence: the albums of Linkin Park one by one become, if not "platinum", then "golden" for sure, and every concert turns into a big celebration for the fans. So, the official releases of Linkin Park: how did it all start and how can you characterize the band's latest album?
Linkin Park: Hybrid Theory
With Hybrid Theory began a glorious history of the team. Linkin Park albums are popular, but none of them reached the status of "diamond", and Hybrid Theory became so in 2010 (the release itself took place in 2000).
They turned their music into a stunning cocktail: memorable motifs, Chester Bennington's spectacular vocals mixed with Mike Shinoda's recitative, hard sounding, fast rhythms, but not without a lyric. In a word, Linkin Park instantly and quite deservedly turned into idols of youth.
Meteora
The second album of the group - Meteora - strengthened the positions of the guys at the top of every possible charts and ratings. Particularly popular was the song Numb. Perhaps, this is the most recognizable composition from the group's work.
The most inflammatory tracks on the track list are Do not Stay and Faint. The lyrics are Somewhere I Belong and Breaking the Habit.
Linkin Park: songs from the album Minutes to Midnight
The guys from the group try not to repeat themselves. Linkin Park's albums differ in both atmosphere and style. The sound of the third studio album had a lot of electronics and fewer guitar riffs. Really fatal can only be called What I've Done, Given Up and Bleed It Out. There were also a lot of lyrics in the record: it's Leave Out All The Rest, and Shadow Of The Day and a lot of songs.
Following Minutes to Midnight, new and new albums were released with an enviable periodicity: New Divide (2009), A Thousand Suns (2010), Living Things (2011), remix album Recharged. The musicians continued to experiment with electronics and hard sound. Their mixes were still fatal, but became more "ordered" and "combed" in sound.
The fans later rebuked the guys that Linkin Park albums became more pop, but there were also pluses: first, interesting compositions began to appear in which different styles were fancifully connected; Secondly, the new format Linkin Park opened their way to the world of soundtracks, which the musicians well earned. From now on the songs of Linkin Park continually loomed in the well-known movies: "Transformers", "Twilight", "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen", etc.
The Hunting Party
Unfortunately, by the fifth or sixth album, many bands have a "crisis". Despite the talent of the guys from Linkin Park (the project participants for many years proved their creativity), the sixth studio album can hardly be called a work of art. And although the music critics, according to the old habit, crumble in curtsey, one must face the truth: this time the guys "went to the wrong steppe".
