Birth of the group

Although officially the band was formed in St. Petersburg in 2003, in fact its non-replaceable founders Dan and Taras began to play together back in 2001, when the band did not even have a name.

The structure of the "Stigmat" group from 2003 to 2006 included:

To have money to record their songs, maintain the site and print flyers, the musicians worked, and in the evenings and weekends rehearsed. The desire to be heard about them led to the fact that at each rehearsal they not only wrote new texts and music, but also made several covers for each song.

At all important musical events in Petersburg they distributed their flyers, which led to the result - the first performance in the club "Polygon", from which many future rock stars started, as well as "Stigmata". The group declared themselves and began to participate in the opening of concerts of other bands, in various competitions, to give concerts in small halls on their own, just to hear about them as many people as possible.

All this led to the fact that they signed a contract with Kapkan Records to record the first album.

"Conveyor of Dreams"

In the autumn of 2004 the best songs of the band "Stigmat" were included in her first album "Dream Conveyor". To promote it, young musicians tour the cities of Russia, giving 15 concerts and assembling the full halls of their first fans at solo concerts. This creative period was marked by participation in such a prestigious festival as Isthmus.

The first album included 10 songs, among them "Live from scratch", "Glass Love", "Paradox" and others. In the debut issue, the band members revealed their musical talents, although the strongest side of this work was texts.

In this regard, musicians spend a lot of time looking for a new sound and writing songs for the next album. He came out in the summer of 2005 and had more success than the first.

"More than love"

The second album "Stigmata" (group, St. Petersburg) released with obvious growth of musicians as professionals. Not only texts are interesting, but also music and performance. It included 12 songs, each of which is a small story with its unhappy, but philosophical and vital end.

For example, in the song "Freedom chooses death," the main heroine is death, which comes daily to people. The conclusion is simple: maybe she will come for one of you today. The group continues to work hard and hone its skills. In 2006, not only did the first DVD about it, but the composition also changed.

Nick left the band, his place was taken by drummer Phil, well-known in the rock environment of St. Petersburg. Also included in the group was a new, fifth member of Duke, who gave a special sound to their music with their songs.

A new round of career

In late 2006, "Stigmata" released a single "Ice", which immediately takes the top line of the charts of alternative music. The clip for this song became so popular that it won first place in the nomination "Song of the Year" in St. Petersburg. Petersburg Alternative Music Awards in 2007.

The song attracts more and more fans, and the band goes beyond the boundaries of not only their native city, but also the country. This gives an occasion for organizing the first large-scale international tour to the near and far abroad.

Despite the tight concert schedule, the musicians do not stop working on new songs, and the next step on the ladder of success is the single "September", which became the most popular on the channels devoted to alternative art.

No one was surprised by the new turn that made "Stigmata." The group signs a contract for the release of the next album from the largest producer of rock music in Russia - Navigator Records. The release of the album under the name Stigmata coincided with the arrival of the new drummer Feud'or.

In the same 2007 the guys perform at the rock festival "Wings", where they share the stage with the most famous rock bands of the country.

Stigmata

The third album combined the popular singles "Ice" and "September" with new songs. Although the soloist of the band "Stigmata" Nelson believes that their best song has not been written yet, the album has increased the number of fans of musicians.

The project includes such songs as "God will forgive me", "The Last Sip", "Leave Hope" and others. All the works speak about a new level of professionalism of the group. These are not just beginning experimenters, but real representatives of quality alternative rock.
