How to make pine cones

Surprisingly, boiling pine cones is a fairly popular dessert among the inhabitants of our country. After all, such a sweet product, prepared from the gifts of nature, you can not only eat, drinking freshly brewed hot tea, but also to cure various colds.

It should be especially noted that the best pine cones are cooked at the end of May or early in June. It was during this period that the fruits of the coniferous trees are still green, young and coarse. Also, experts recommend collecting cones to make such desserts away from the roads and railways, as well as beyond the boundaries of industrial enterprises and cities.

Necessary ingredients:

  • Sand sugar - 1 full liter pot;

  • Pine cones young and green - 1 kg;

  • Ordinary drinking water (purified) - 1 liter.

The process of processing cones: Young green pine cones should be sorted by clearing them of foliage and other debris, put in a colander and rinse well in cool water. After that they need to be placed in a large container, where you need to add ordinary drinking water and granulated sugar.

Heat treatment: pine cones should be cooked on the stove only after all the ingredients have been mixed well. Tare with syrup and fruits of coniferous wood is required to bring to a boil on low heat, and then boil for another 5 minutes. Then the sweet dish should be removed from the plate and cooled. After this, boiling pine cones should be boiled again, and then cooled - and so repeat 3 times. It is worth mentioning that during dessert cooling it is recommended to cover with a clean two-layer gauze or culinary paper.

The final stage in the preparation: after the young cones are cooked in the syrup exactly three times, they must be disintegrated in a hot form along the sterilized jars. Next, the dishes need to be rolled up, turned upside down and covered with a towel. In this situation, the unusual sweetness of natural gifts should cool down for exactly a day. After this time, jars of jam should be placed in a dark cold place, where they are recommended to withstand until winter.

  • Bronchitis, severe cough and pneumonia (acts as a good expectorant);
