List of sects in Russia. Prohibited sects in Russia

In our time, there are many different religions. Christianity, Islam and Buddhism stand out as the main world religions. By the number of their adherents, they greatly exceed all others. But in addition, there are separate groups of people who have separated from the dominant religious direction and formed independent organizations under the leadership of the leader. They are called sects, and their members are called sectarians.

Than sects are dangerous

Sometimes sectarians are just people who are lost in religious dogmas, trying to find their own ways to God and do not pose a danger to others. But sometimes the activities of such groups are not at all harmless, and in these cases the society takes all measures to protect its members from the harmful and sometimes deadly influence of the sects.

As a rule, at the head of such a religious organization is a strong charismatic personality, capable of exerting powerful influence over others and subordinating their will to them. Sometimes such a leader, in addition to natural data, has special knowledge in the field of psychology, received by him in the process of training, and sometimes even has the skills of hypnosis and suggestion. In all cases, it has a powerful tool - the ability to control the consciousness of the masses. And from the fact, in whose hands was such a weapon, who became its victims, often depend on mental health, material well-being, and sometimes the life of many people.

Dangerous sects in Russia

Sectarianism is spread all over the world. Unfortunately, our country is no exception. The list of sects in Russia is quite wide, but there are several organizations in it that stand out from the general mass. Their activities very often went beyond the law. Let us dwell on them in more detail.

First of all, it is a sect called the "White Brotherhood". This organization made a lot of noise ten years ago, when its leaders were in the dock. It is known that the leader of the sect, Yu. A. Krivonogov, was a KGB officer in the Soviet period and served in the department that developed methods of influencing people's mass consciousness. After the national system of the KGB was abolished, Krivonogov appropriated a part of the special equipment. In addition, he had the skills of hypnosis and psychological influence on people.

Together with his wife Marina Zvigun, a former employee of the Dnepropetrovsk District Committee of the Komsomol, and then a journalist of a local newspaper, he organized a sect. Marina in his script was to become the incarnation of Jesus Christ. Religious revelations poured out by the spouses on adepts of the sect were nothing more than a wild mixture of quotations torn from various occult teachings. Interlaces were excerpts from the works of Blavatsky, Roerich, yoga, various Indian religious concepts and the teachings of Kabbalah.

The development of the secret department in the service of the sect

But the main weapon was, of course, the skills obtained in the secret department of the KGB. As a result of the active activities of the couple, several thousand adherents were involved in the sect. Control over their consciousness Krivonogov with his newfound messiah was able to establish simply phenomenal. People sold their property and carried the proceeds to the sect, broke with their families and settled in specially organized villages. There they dragged a half-starved existence, having no right to any manifestations of their own will. There was a complete zombie adepts.

The leaders of the sect themselves, with the money of their victims, led a chic way of life. There are also cases of mass suicides, generated by the fear of the end of the world, which was an integral part of their "teachings". As a result, the couple were behind bars. But now begins a new round of the sect's history called "White Brotherhood". Marina Tsvigun went free and launched a wide-ranging activity to revive her. Judging by the scale of the work, in finance it is not constrained.

"Neo-Pentecostals"

The list of sects in Russia should be continued with a story about an organization that is considered to be the most numerous in the country. This is the sect of the Neo-Pentecostals, or, as they are called, the "Charismatic". According to some reports, it has about 300 000 adherents in our country, which is almost half of all sectarians in Russia. This organization originated in America in the seventies of the XX century. For their meetings, they rent concert halls and stadiums. Everything is done in the form of a well-staged show in a purely American manner.

False spiritual landmarks

Their main doctrine, of course, attractive to the masses, is the thesis that a true Christian should be healthy, happy and rich. To become such, you just need to bring money to the sect. The more you bring, the sooner you will get rich and become a true believer. It is difficult to talk about methods of influence, but they work without fail. Thousands of masses in a single impulse fall into a state close to ecstasy. Even the extremely needy suddenly begin to feel rich, and the sick feel an illusory rush of health.

Sect is the killer of hundreds of people

As can be seen from the above examples, modern sects are armed with carefully thought-out methods of influencing the human psyche. Arsenal of their means is very wide. Do not underestimate the danger they pose. To illustrate this again, let us recall the organization, which, fortunately, is not on the list of sects in Russia. At one time its name was often mentioned in the media. This is the "Temple of the Nations." The Lord has saved us from this mischief, but it will not be superfluous to tell about it.

Its creator, Jim Jones, in 1955 in the American city of Indianapolis assembled a group of followers of his religious teachings, which soon moved to the jungles of Guyana. Filled with pathological hatred for America and generally for people, he managed to create a semblance of a totalitarian state in the territory occupied by the settlement , and in its worst variant. He achieved slavish submission from all adepts of the sect. His will was carried out unquestioningly.

This dictator felt sympathy for the Soviet Union and the totalitarian system established in it. One of the streets of the village was named after Lenin. He even appealed to the Soviet authorities to grant him and members of the sect the opportunity to immigrate to the USSR. The answer was positive, but the tragedy that took place in 1978 prevented it. More than nine hundred members of the sect, on the orders of its creator, committed suicide. The "Temple of the Nations" ceased to exist. Jim Jones was convicted, but in 2002 he was released ahead of schedule.

The Scientology sect

List of sects in Russia will not be complete, if you do not remember the organization called "Scientologists". This team is also "American bottling", like many others. In the fifties of the XX century it was created by science fiction writer Ronald Hubbard. The basic position of his teaching is the doom of the existing world. He will perish, but life will not stop there. Those who have achieved the ideal in this world will find life after death.

It is possible to become a perfect being after training with Scientologists. The rate is paid and is very expensive, but what you will not sacrifice for the sake of eternity. It is not for nothing that this organization is called the "sect of the rich". According to experts, its daily income ranges from three to five million dollars. In our country it has representative offices in different cities. The main office is in Moscow.

"Jehovah witnesses"

Many residents of our cities are familiar with the sect "Jehovah's Witnesses". What are they dangerous? Often, adherents are annoyingly ringing the doors of apartments and stopping people on the streets, offering to listen to their pseudo-religious dogmas, to learn the "true" understanding of Scripture, to gain eternal life. It is only necessary to show them any interest, as they become unobtrusive, they put their pamphlets and offer to visit their meetings without fail. The technology of recruiting new members is thought out so much that a person practically does not notice how he becomes an active member of the sect.

This organization is headquartered in America and has offices in many countries around the world. Despite the fact that they call themselves Christians, they have nothing to do with Christianity. In all their activities, distinct, purely mercantile motivations are clearly visible. In our country, the sect for a long time was illegal, but with the onset of perestroika, all bans were lifted, and members of the organization launched a stormy activity. Residents of St. Petersburg remember how in 1992, at the stadium named after Kirov, with a capacity of 100,000 spectators, their congress took place, on which Jehovah's Witnesses arrived not only from all over Russia, but also from abroad.

The reasons for the growth of sectarianism in recent years

Religious sects in Russia have received a powerful impetus for their development over the past two decades. An important role here was played by the deterioration of the economic situation of a number of the population and the political instability of recent years. The apologists of various sectarian trends, using these intrastate complications, try to speculate on them, attracting new members to their ranks. Those who believe in the propaganda promises of the newly converted members of such sects fall under the harsh psychological pressure. Often the result of their gullibility are severe mental disorders, loss of property, and a break with the family.

What sects are called totalitarian

In order to protect citizens from the harmful influence of such religious movements, legislative measures were taken. In particular, a list of sects banned in Russia has been approved by certain courts.

Their activities are suppressed, and the persons involved in it are liable to punishment in accordance with the law. Particularly severely prosecuted are the so-called totalitarian, or destructive, sects. In world practice, a vivid example of such an organization was the "Temple of Nations".

In our country, a ban on the activities of all religious associations that infringe on the rights of its members and harm them. Totalitarian sects in Russia and their activities are widely covered in the media to prevent and prevent their impact on people. Great work in this direction is carried out by representatives of the church. Do not stand aside and teachers. There are many sects that do not seem threatening, such as, for example, the sect "Jehovah's Witnesses". What are they dangerous? The answer is obvious - any enslavement of mass consciousness conceals in itself a real danger to society.
