How to eliminate pain and heaviness in the head

The headache and heaviness in the head are familiar, probably to every adult person. This is a fairly common symptom of many diseases: from catarrhal diseases to serious disorders of the brain.

Of course, an unpleasant sensation in the head can ruin any plans. The reasons can be different. These are stressful situations, disorders of the nervous system, a sharp change in the temperature regime, prolonged physical activity, bad habits, unbalanced nutrition, etc. As a rule, the heaviness in the head arises from the insufficient supply of oxygen to the cells of the brain, which leads to the appearance of painful sensations.

Very often headaches are accompanied by a sharp increase or decrease in blood pressure, the appearance of a feeling of nausea and vomiting, a violation of visual acuity. With some diseases, heaviness in the head appears. Dizziness is a common sign that accompanies various diseases throughout the life of a person.

In itself, the heaviness in the head is caused by a stagnant process, in which the venous blood accumulates in the head region. This condition often manifests itself in the morning hours after awakening. To get rid of unpleasant sensations, it is advisable to carry out an independent head massage, at which stimulation occurs, and all processes are activated. To do this, it is necessary to apply pressure to the top of the head with competent movements, then alternately to the right and left carotid arteries. By expanding the blood vessels, blood will flow to the brain, improving the patient's condition.

There are cases in which the appearance of a headache should cause fear. The first case is a continuous vomiting, after which there is no improvement in the patient's condition. The second case is a continuation of the headache after taking antipyretics. Particular attention should be paid in the event that a small rash appears in the form of dark red spots. This may be a sign of meningococcal infection, in which there are enough serious changes in the brain.

When referring to a specialist, you need to remember, then there is pain or heaviness in your head, how unpleasant sensations appear that accompanies how often and for what time do you worry. This will help to establish the correct diagnosis and to prescribe the optimal treatment package. Also, after a general examination of the therapist, the patient should undergo a CT scan, an electroencephalogram, take a blood test for general and biochemical composition, and see other specialists (ophthalmologist, neurologist, surgeon, cardiologist and others).

Of folk remedies used to reduce pain in the head and eliminate gravity, apply decoctions of calendula, chamomile, primrose, rue, valerian, lemon balm, mint, lily of the valley, dog rose, oregano and other medicinal plants. Of course, before the reception it is necessary to get the advice of the attending physician, so as not to aggravate the situation and help restore the body.
