Exhaustion of the body. Symptoms

Depletion of the body is expressed in the reduction of its vital functions. The causes of the pathology can be excessive loads or the direct influence of factors that lead to an imbalance in the intake of nutrients and their amount required for a person. The limiting value of the body mass index, indicating that the depletion of the organism takes place, is equal to a value of twenty kilograms per square meter. Insufficient mass of the body corresponds to lower values of this indicator.

In the event that the depletion of the body is a consequence of malnutrition, it is classified as primary. Decrease in body weight as a result of disturbance of metabolic processes in the body, as well as decrease in the amount of digestible nutrients due to various pathological processes, refers to secondary.

Depletion of the body can develop for various reasons. The most common of these are:

- malnutrition;

- pathology of the digestive tract;

- Endocrine-hormonal diseases ;

- Diseases of the nervous system ;

- mental pathologies;

- long-term use of alcoholic beverages (drunken phenomena);

- infections;

- trauma;

- burns;

- diseases that are accompanied by an unconscious condition;

- Oncology;

- taking certain medications.

Depletion of the body is primarily characterized by a decrease in body weight, which at the initial stages of the disease can be poorly expressed. Insufficiently bright manifestation of pathology also depends on the constitutional characteristics of the patient. But, despite this, at the level of physiology, a person is already beginning to experience a deficit of elements necessary for his life. This process is expressed in a decrease in the functional activity of the patient with exhaustion. In this case, a person experiences a constant tendency to sleep, weakness, mental and physical fatigue.

In patients with exhaustion, "arrivals" appear in the corners of the mouth, which are a characteristic sign of deficiency in the body of vitamins belonging to group B. A person with a reduced body weight often has a cold, he has an unstable stool, while the relatively stable work of the central nervous system alternates with astheno- Neurotic states.

The next stage of exhaustion of the body is characterized by the appearance of edema, which are observed mainly in the abdomen and lower extremities. The patient's working capacity is sharply reduced. At this stage, there is hypovitaminosis, depressive conditions, mental and volitional disorders, and suspiciousness appears. In this case, the appearance of a person indicates the presence of exhaustion.

The third stage of the development of the disease (cachexia) is expressed in the immobility and critical reduction of mental processes. Skin covers on the patient's face become pale, have a grayish or yellowish hue. Eyes fall. The facial features are pointed. Convulsive conditions are frequent in people with reduced body weight, as well as involuntary urine emission.

Nervous exhaustion of the body occurs as a result of various infectious diseases. The cause of this pathology can be poisoning. As a rule, states of the organism are attributed to nervous exhaustion after prolonged heavy loads of a physical or intellectual plan.

Signs of nervous exhaustion :

- chronic fatigue;

- prolonged depression;

- absent-mindedness;

- a constant feeling of sleepiness.

To get rid of this pathological condition, you need to leave things for a while and rest properly, allowing you to recover your nervous system.

According to medical statistics, about two percent of women suffer from ovarian malnutrition. This disease is characterized by the termination of menstruation before the due date. The cause of the pathology may be autoimmune disorders, as well as chromosomal abnormalities. Ovarian exhaustion, the treatment of which consists in replacement hormone therapy, can be caused by surgical intervention, and also become a consequence of the application of certain methods of treatment of oncology.
