Birthmarks in newborns, groups of birthmarks, methods of treatment

Birthmarks in newborns - this is a kiss of luck or the origin of the problem. The child born from the first days of life is surrounded by the increased attention of the mother. And when on a body of the kid she notices any specks or other defects of a skin, starts to worry of health of the newborn.

This alarm is clear and praiseworthy. But not all birthmarks in newborns are dangerous. Let's consider the most common variants of skin abnormalities in young children from the first day of life and older.

Conditionally it is possible to divide birthmarks in newborns into the following groups:

- Vascular. Flat or towering lesions of red-violet, pink or bright red.

- Pigmented. Different texture and size of brown skin defects.

- Warty. Exceeding growths of gray or brown color, having keratinous surface.

Now it is still unknown where the birthmarks and birthmarks appear on the surface of the body, but they distinguish the hereditary component and the characteristics of the organism. Certain conditions can stimulate changes in these pathologies.

Vascular neoplasms

A red mole or scientifically hemangioma in its structure represents a clot or tangle of abnormal vessels. Therefore, its color is red in different saturation. This benign tumor is congenital or has appeared in the future. Can occupy vast spaces. Then a large birthmark is located on the entire leg or arm (hemangiomatosis).

Quite a lot of vascular birthmarks of newborns disappear by themselves after a certain period of time. But there are hemangiomas that begin to increase actively in size. Then, in addition to cosmetic discomforts, serious problems may appear. The vascular birthmark on the neck, becoming large enough, will interfere, and be injured by clothing. As a result, bleeding occurs. In some cases, an extensive tumor can interfere with the normal functioning of other organs. In this case, there is a need to remove pathology. In addition, in the case of hemangioma, there is always a risk of thrombosis.

Pigmented neoplasms

Pigmented birthmarks in newborns are benign tumors. Visually they come in different sizes and shapes. Some are flat, while others rise above the surface.

Among such birthmarks there are so-called "good" birthmarks that do not change shape and shape over time. And there are so-called "bad" educations. They are either permanently traumatized or degenerated. The latter are the cause for the appearance of skin cancer (melanoma), and are recommended for timely removal. As a child, there are very few such situations. In general, rebirth occurs in adulthood under the influence of certain conditions.

Warty neoplasm

Warty birthmarks are rare in newborns. They rise above the surface, have a keratinous texture. Consider the most dangerous in terms of rebirth. Such formations are almost always recommended for disposal.

Ways to remove birthmarks

If there is a need to remove the birthmark, then it can be done by various methods:

- Physical. A mechanical action is used. This is surgical, laser or radio wave removal, Electrodeodulation (electrocoagulation).

- Chemical. The properties of substances are used. This is an acid or alkaline removal, cryodestruction (freezing with liquid nitrogen).

Some skin defects do not belong to birthmarks, but are a sign of an individual disease. To know exactly what pathologies are on the surface of the skin of a newborn, you need to consult a doctor, and not to guess yourself. The expert will tell you which situations should be avoided in order to push the birthmarks to degeneration.
