How to cook croutons with crispy crust and not only? Creating the perfect breakfast

A delicious and healthy breakfast for many has long been associated with invigorating coffee and aromatic warm toast or crispy toast. But what to do if the toaster is not at hand, and how to make croutons so that they are as delicious as toast or even tastier, just do not know? This will be discussed below.

The main thing to remember is that croutons can be not only delicious, but also very original. And all that is needed for their preparation is a little time and imagination. After all, almost everyone knows how to make toast with eggs, but few people spoil their home "fruit" or "curd" croutons. But let's talk about everything in order. First, we will describe how to prepare toast "classic" - the simplest and most accessible kind of toast.

We cut the wheaten bread into thin pieces (about one centimeter in thickness) and put them on a hot frying pan, in which we add one tablespoon of butter beforehand. After one side of the bread is cooked enough, add one more spoon of oil to the frying pan and fry the croutons on the other side. After frying the bread, let it cool down for a while. After the preparations of toast are ready (you can serve them in the same form), one of the sides can be covered with mayonnaise mixed with finely chopped garlic, and then sprinkle with a hard-boiled and crushed egg.

Thus, we learn how to prepare not only classic toast ("harvesting" for all other kinds of toast), but also understand how to cook garlic toasts with egg and mayonnaise.

Another option for cooking toast is toast, fried in an egg. We cut the bread, as in the previous case, but before putting it on the frying pan, we moisten it in a well-beaten mixture consisting of a glass of milk and two eggs (salt or sugar can be added to it to taste). This version of toast will be without crispy crust, but it can replace a full breakfast due to more satisfying products used in cooking.

It is very important to remember that croutons are a universal "billet", which can be turned into a real culinary masterpiece in a matter of minutes. For example, pieces of bread, fried in eggs and milk, you can not only sprinkle with powdered sugar and cinnamon, but also decorate with crushed nuts, dried apricots and prunes. Add to these croutons oatmeal porridge and invigorating coffee and get just a great charge of energy for the whole day.

Another way how to cook toast, fried in an egg, to serve on the table is the addition of curd mass to them. We cook croutons ourselves, as described above. For the curd mass, you need two hundred grams of cottage cheese, one egg and two or three tablespoons of sugar (to taste). Cottage cheese must be wiped through a sieve, add sugar and egg, and then mix thoroughly until a homogeneous mass is obtained. In the resulting mixture, you can add a little nuts and raisins, and then spread on a little chilled toast.

Do not forget that croutons can be a snack (as in the case with toasts with garlic), and dessert. How to make a toast, which will be an appetizer, is clear to almost everyone. But it is important to remember that the products with which you will serve them are limited only by your own imagination and taste. For example, garlic toasts with eggs can be decorated not only with banal sprats and greens, but with a piece of goat cheese, a ring of canned pineapple and paste from the crab sticks rubbed through a sieve.

For "dessert" toast not only cottage cheese, powdered sugar and cherry jam are suitable. They can be served with a fruit salad, decorated with a filling and chocolate glaze or made into a whole culinary composition with the help of various dried fruits and several kinds of nuts.
