How many live rats with good care

These animals always lived near the person. And for all the time of such a neighborhood, different nations have formed a variety of "relations" with them. And if in Europe they were called diabolical creatures, then in China they were always in high esteem. And other peoples of the East are treated with respect to these animals. And their role in the development of science in general can not be overestimated. And these animals are rats. But if their wild species - the black rat and the pasyuk have a bad "reputation" in some countries, then domestic rats are the favorites of many people.

And many people are concerned with the question - how many live domestic rats. And, unfortunately, their life is short - 3-4 years maximum. But nature has endowed these animals with high fertility. And thanks to the breeders, many new species of these rodents have appeared. And besides rats with standard wool, there are also satin rats with shiny hair and rexes with mustaches and wavy hair. Bred breeders and domestic rats with a more exotic appearance. They are sphinxes, dams and tailless. And the color of domestic rodents, too, are far from their wild relatives. Their wool can have white, black, chocolate, blue and other shades. There are also specimens with a heterogeneous color. These include Himalayan, Siamese, silver, sable and similar colors. And even knowing how many live decorative rats, it is unlikely that anyone will abandon such a motley pet.

Reproductive ability of these animals is impressive. After every 4-5 days, their females have estrus. It happens mostly in the evenings and lasts about 12 hours. At this time, she is ready to take the male in order to leave the posterity. And this craving for genus extension is commensurate with how many rats live. This can be used for breeding them at home. Theoretically, for this you can keep only the male and the female. However, it is believed that in a couple of rats do not breed. And to guarantee for one male is recommended to keep 2-3 females.

And that the female could calmly give birth, she will need a large nest. In size, these nests usually outperform a simple rat house. And now they can easily be found on sale. This nest looks like an elongated plastic collapsible vessel with an opening at one of the ends. Also suitable for these purposes is a spacious house made of plywood, wood or plastic. The main thing is to provide the female with materials for the nest device, and then she will manage herself.

And then the fact how many live the rats will prove to be completely justified. After all, the average size of one female brood is 12 rats. But this number can vary from 1 to 22 cubs. Also, each female has 12 nipples. But if it is well fed, then its "motherly love" is enough even for the biggest brood. She will divide the rats into two groups and feed them in turn. It is enough only to provide the female and her offspring with a roomy dwelling.

As already mentioned, the estrus in females is often enough. But it is not necessary to use every such "case" for its mating. The female, after she will feed one brood, it is necessary to give 2-3 months for rest. This approach will also affect how many live rats. The age for her first pairing should also be monitored. Physiologically, they become suitable for pregnancy after 5-6 weeks after birth. But the first contact with the male should be postponed to a later date - 3.5-4 months. And if the offspring does not have problems, then up to the age of one year the female can regularly extend her family. Males for mating are selected strong enough, at the age of 6 months. And if they "recommend" themselves well in this case, they will be able to fertilize females until death.

Also on the aspect of how many live the rats, their food also affects. The food for these animals must be balanced, and it must contain all the necessary nutrients. All products intended for them, need to be cleaned and rinsed well. They must be stored in closed containers, so that they can not get to the wild rodents. Roots and vegetables, before giving rats, carefully sorted out so as not to get rotten or damaged, also they are cleaned from the ground. Then these vegetables should be washed and cut into large pieces.

Still rats can be given boiled or pasteurized milk, which must be fresh and free from foreign impurities or odors. Usually rats have enough and two meals a day: in the evening and in the morning. And the evening ration should be more, since the rat is nocturnal. Well, pregnant females need to be fed 3-4 times a day. Rats love different grains: millet, wheat, barley, oats, corn and others. Also, they will not refuse such vegetables as radish, carrots, cabbage, eggplant and pumpkin. From the green, they can give dill, parsley, cilantro, celery and radish tops. Still these animals eat berries, dairy products, meat, dry and soy foods. Apparently, with the nutrition of these rodents, problems should not arise even in winter.
