Krylov's fable "Quartet": what is the moral and essence?

While still very young, we already liked to listen to fairy tales, gave parents books to read to them before going to bed. We really enjoyed getting acquainted with interesting and instructive stories and looking at beautiful and vivid illustrations. Later, when we had already learned how to read independently, we began to study literature, at the school we taught the works of famous authors.

What does a book mean to a person?

Books are a source of knowledge, a fount of wisdom. It is from them that we learn the world around us, get acquainted with the rules of behavior. Remember, as in the children's poem: "What is good? What is bad? "By the same principle, we are trained in other books.

Now we are already quite grown up, graduated from school, and someone decided to link their field of activity with the Russian language and literature. And we re-pass all those works, novels, poems, fables, which were studied in childhood. Only now they carefully analyze and determine the meaning of the written, we reflect on what the author tried to convey to us.

By the way, about fables. In this article we will talk with you about famous works. Specifically, we are interested in the fable of Krylov "Quartet".

about the author

Probably, there is no such person who would not know who Ivan Andreevich Krylov is and what contribution he made to the literature. His fables are included in the compulsory study program, they are part of the children's literature of the first half of the nineteenth century.

Krylov himself considered the fable a folk genre. He said that they can be read by both children and servants. Fables reflected the thinking of the people, they were written in a joking, aphoristic form. It can be seen that most of the author's works are created on topics that he took directly from life.

History of creation

Krylov's fable "Quartet" was created not by chance. After reading it, we see that four beasts decide to play the quartet, but they can not do it. The reason for writing was the desire of the author to ridicule the state body of Russia, that is, the State Council. It was created a year earlier than the fable of Krylov's Quartet. There was a Council of four departments. In their head were the grandees Mordvinov, Lopukhin, Zavadovsky and Arakcheev.

Analysis of Krylov's fable "Quartet"

So, we have already found out that there are four characters in the fable, which Krylov presented as follows: under Martha, he meant Mordvinov, under the Oslo - Zavadovsky, under the Bear - Arakcheev, under the goat - Lopukhin. They could not agree with each other and share duties, so they decided to swap places. Krylov's fable "The Quartet" presents us the same picture. The animals do not have the ability to do music, but they decided at all costs to "captivate the art of light." They consider themselves to be experienced masters and professionals, although in reality they represent nothing. From the change of places nothing changes, and they are also haunted by failure. The moral of this fable is the words of the nightingale, whom the animals called for help. He said that in order to engage in any business, you must first have some knowledge and skills. And they (beasts) are in no way suitable for musicians.

Fable of Krylov "Quartet", the text of which is read very easily, ends with the following words:

"To be a musician, so must the skill

And your ears are pale ... "

In these words is morality.
