Can Mozart's audition drive you crazy?

For his relatively short life - he lived only 35 years - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart created more than 600 works. He was a child prodigy and began to write music at an early age. Today his symphonies, concerts, choral and operatic works are rightfully considered great.

Nevertheless, Mozart is a person as mysterious as he is talented, and some details from his biography may seem even repulsive.

What can happen if you listen to all Mozart's works?

So, what happens if you decide to listen to all the works of the great composer?

This is what Alex Marshall, a music columnist and journalist, decided to do. He ordered the delivery of CDs with Mozart's works (a total duration of 240 hours) and proceeded to realize his grandiose plan.

Can you imagine what it is for a person to constantly listen to something? Just imagine it, even without taking into account the fact that it's 240 hours of classical music.

Alex Marshall himself, however, said that the experiment helped him understand Mozart and appreciate the full scale of his genius. In addition, classical music gave the journalist peace and serenity, and even the hated shopping, performed for the works of the classic, did not knock him out of the rut. Also Marshall noted: some violin concerts forced him to think about his own life and rethink it.

This experiment did not harm the psyche of our hero. Moreover, he said that he feels great. Hence, on the basis of this, we can conclude: because of listening to Mozart's works, you do not really feel crazy.
