Hypoallergenic dogs

Theoretically, there is no such kind of dog . The term "hypoallergenic dogs" is conditional. Breeds that do not cause allergies do not exist. According to medical observations, different dogs affect allergies in different ways: some cause a strong reaction, others do not cause it at all.

Allergens are found in canine saliva and wool. Therefore, again, theoretically, hypoallergenic dogs are not shedding and "not scattering" saliva, which means they carry the least risk.
Although we must admit that molting and salivation are inherent in absolutely all breeds, even naked: microscopic scales that are invisible to the naked eye (something like dandruff) are still separated, and the absence of saliva is simply counter-natural.

There is an opinion that the number of allergens decreases with frequent bathing of the dog. I would like to argue about this: frequent bathing leads to rapid drying of the skin, which means an increase in the amount of "dog dandruff".

Can the size of the dog be a factor affecting the amount of allergens? Theoretically - yes, because the larger the size, the greater the "area of the carrier", and hence the greater the danger.

The same applies to longhair dogs: the more wool, the greater the threat to a person prone to allergies.

The same can be said about often barking dogs: they are more allergenic than quiet, calm. This factor concerns more small animals, which are often characterized by an unjustified barking, or so-called hysteria. Such a pet for an allergy sufferer will not work, since it spreads allergens with saliva released during barking.

Hence follows: hypoallergenic dogs - medium-sized animals with a minimum short hair or non-molting at all (periodically trimming).

Under hypoallergenic breeds of dogs as much as possible:

- affenpinscher (not shedding);

- Bichon Frize (recommended by the allergy sufferer AKC (Kennel Club), not shedding);

- Flanders Bouvier (recommended by the allergic AKC (Kennel Club), not molting);

- Chinese crested (there are very few wool on the body (exception - "down jackets"), but has a tendency to form dandruff);

- coton de tulear (not shedding);

- water spaniel (not shedding);

- kerry blue terrier (not shedding);

- Maltese lap dog (not molting);

- Mexican naked (it does not have wool, in most cases it is suitable even for asthmatics);

- Spitz Pomeranian (not prone to large formations of dandruff);

- poodles (all) (not shedding, not prone to dandruff;

- bullets (not shedding);

- Samoyed (not shedding);

- schnauzers (loss of wool is minimal, but prone to frequent barking);

- welsh terrier (not shedding);

- Yorkshire Terrier (recommended by the allergic AKC (Kennel Club), not molting, to the formation of dandruff is not inclined).

And now - a few facts ... Recent research has shown that hypoallergenic dogs "give out" allergens a little less than usual (according to The Daily Mail), since they really produce less saliva and dandruff, and many dogs that fall into the category of safe have almost no hair .

And Henry Ford staff (a hospital in Michigan) decided to analyze the 60 most common breeds, including hypoallergenic representatives. Their conclusions were stunned: there are practically no advantages with hypoallergenic rocks. Dr. Kr. Johnson states: "If a person came across dogs in early childhood, then, as an adult, he will be protected from the development of an allergy." The idea of hypoallergenic dogs suitable for allergic people has not been confirmed. "
The conclusion was based on analyzes of dust collected in 173 houses with dogs. The fence was performed a month after the appearance of the newborn in the house under study. Scientists were interested in the presence of the Can f 1 allergen. The result is this: in all houses the Can f 1 level differs slightly.

So even such "safe dogs" are not so safe. This, probably, as hypoallergenic pillows - one fit, and the other - no ...
