Dog Stalin - the youngest of the withdrawn service breeds. In catalogs it is called the Russian black terrier. Its history is not calculated in hundreds of years, but only in decades, but there are already so many stories and myths around Chernysh, sometimes even contradicting that even dogs with roots that go back centuries are envious of them. So what are the conjectures surrounding the black? Let's dwell on the three main ones.

Myth first. Stalin's dog is an angry, uncontrollable monster who does not mind breakfasting to passers-by and having dinner with the owner. This dog is bred for killing.

Myth of the second. The dog black terrier is incredibly stupid and should be in the category of decorative dogs, the fate of which is to run around in the rings and lie on the couches.

"Father of Nations" was indeed given the command to receive a special, universal dog, hardy and capable of training. The new breed was not only to "wipe the nose" of the West, it was planned to work with it in all the corners of the Union - from the northern borders to the deserts of Asia.

The experiments were really started during Stalin's lifetime, but the crown of his works was never seen. And the black terrier breed group was formed much later, and it became a separate breed only in 1981. Therefore, this dog has a very, very indirect relation to Stalin. The only thing that connects this name and the popular name is the fact of "ordering" a universal dog.

What does this concept mean? "Universal", that is, "applicable to everything", in this case - for any type of service. Of course, such a dog should have a very strong nervous system, excellent health, and good working capacity (endurance). This was supposed to be the dog of Stalin. This is what they did. And nature, evaluating the titanic work of the cynologists of the Red Star (nursery, where the selection work was held), decided to give out another bonus: selfless devotion to the owner.

The little black is like a plasticine, from which you can mold everything - and a working dog, flying with a black core to a figurant, and a gentle nurse, and a guide, and a rescuer. It will not be possible to make a killer car, mindlessly carrying out orders, as a black terrier is able to analyze and attack only if there is a real threat.

"But what about the pronounced distrust of outsiders?", You ask. Answer: Mistrust and unreasonable aggression are two different things. You're not going to beat every stranger? So the black terrier will not show fangs without grounds.

Myth three. Stalin's dog is so clever that it does not absolutely require training, and the course of the ZKS generally turns it into a killer.

If we are to speak frankly, the training is, first of all, the training of the host. Both the dog and the owner work on the training ground. And Chernysh, being really clever and easily trained, learn with pleasure. And everything. The main thing for them is a close contact with the adored master. And it does not matter what kind of work it will be - riding a child on a sledge or attacking two people at once.

Here on this intellect and desire to work many newcomers and reap their mistakes, content only with a "nipper": "My dog is so clever, he will have enough to learn how to bite." But such skills must be manageable and controlled. You should understand that your "boy" is not only an obedient beast, it is also more than 60 kg of muscles, and therefore it is very difficult to keep it sometimes. A dog that knows how to only bite is really dangerous, but a dog that successfully completed training courses does not. That's why no self-respecting instructor will go to the "pliers", if before the dog did not pass even the course of obedience.
