Harvesting the crucian in spring on a float fishing rod is not easy, but fascinating

Many professionals do not catch the carp, believing that this small coastal fish is of no interest. In addition, her unstable biting only adds problems. But still there is a sufficient number of lovers of quiet hunting who like such fishing.

How to catch the crucian carp

The care of this careful inhabitant of reservoirs is always quite fascinating. The best biting of the crucian carp is observed in the spring, when after the winter ascetic lifestyle, gaining strength for spawning, it begins to actively feed. But in order for fishing to be catchy, you need to find the right place. Even with the warming of the reservoirs to about eight degrees, the crucian carp, starting to gradually become active, rushes to the bait, and at higher temperatures there is an excellent catch altogether. Carp in spring on the float fishing rod, feeder or other tackle can start to fish already from the middle of March. In this case, luck depends primarily on climatic conditions.

Features of fishing

As soon as good weather sets in the region for several days, seasoned fishermen rush to the water. They already know: they have a good catch of crucian carp.

At the float fishing rod, this fish is often brought near islands of reeds. And the depth of the reservoir in such places should be small: from fifty centimeters to one and a half meters. On such sites it is always warmer, and it is much easier to find than to profit. Another feature, which is characterized by catching crucian in spring on the float fishing rod, is that the extraction must be constantly sought, and throughout the reservoir. The flocks of this fish, since March, are in motion all the time. And if today float fishing for crucian car well passes in one place, it is not a fact that the next morning here will also peck. Unlike summer fishing, when on checked or fed parts this small fish is always stable, in the spring it should be constantly searched.

Successful biting

The main reason for the vagaries of this fish in the post-winter period is the temperature of the water, which, unsteadily, fluctuates periodically. The successful catch of crucian carp at this time primarily depends on how the spring began. If it's getting warmer early, and the weather is relatively good, then this fish is more active, and by mid-April it will be full of pecking.

Floating tackle

Many people use it for crucian carp. At the same time, there are several requirements that the float tackle must meet . Firstly, it concerns the hook, on which the success of fishing depends. The greatest success is enjoyed by single and single-string variants. For crucian carp the hooks of the fourth-sixth sizes are best suited.

Floating tackle, especially in crucian carp, also assumes the presence of a strong, with almost no noticeable in the water. Its length should be selected depending on the structure of the rod and the weight of the proposed prey. For a crucian, a line with a thickness of 0.15-0.18 millimeters is suitable.

Rod

Since catching crucian carp in spring on the float rod is carried out practically over the entire area of the reservoir, the length of this component of the tackle should be from two to six meters. Its purpose is to deliver a fishing line equipped with a float with a hook to the necessary point on the lake, cutting and pulling the spoils out of the water. Therefore, you need to show maximum attention to the rod. The sinker can be selected the simplest: the ideal option is a lead pellet.

For catching spring crucian you need to choose a float, designed for fishing in calm water. It can be used also in a weak current, and at a depth of 1.5 meters.

Technics of fishing

Harvesting in the spring - on a float fishing rod or any other tackle - involves mandatory feeding of prey. Many of them prepare lures. At the same time seasoned anglers are not advised to make large balls, preferring to throw the lure in small portions, doing this in the course of the whole fishing. Cramped lumps need to be thrown into the place where the float is then delivered.

Once the fish is caught on the hook, it must be immediately removed from the bucket or other vegetation by pulling it to the surface of the water. Carp will necessarily resist, but he will soon get tired and turn over on his side. In this fishing, very careful cutting is done, so that the hook does not tear the weak lips of the prey.

Very often in the spring, before swallowing the bait, the fish simply tries it, and then the float reacts to this by a slight flinch. At this point, do not do the cutting, because the crucian has not yet swallowed the hook. But as soon as you see that the float has come up, you need to react instantly. Small carp, as a rule, do not resist, however large specimens tend to go into the grass or the grinder, whirling in the water. And if they do it, then, most likely, there will be a line break. Sometimes this fish manages to break it even with a dorsal float.
