He looks at life through the prism of evil, and all that his soul craves is to avenge his loved ones.

How the shooting began

Initially, the role of the main character was planned to call for actor Clive Owen, since he was like Max from the game. After some time thinking, the directors paid attention to Mark Wahlberg, who at that time was not busy in any shootings. After receiving the proposal, the actor immediately rejected him, saying that his career had not yet reached the handle, so he would not be removed in "deliberate nonsense." However, after listening to the arguments of his advisers, and also having read the script, Wahlberg literally fell in love with a character named Max Payne. The actor even began to play this game, but until the end did not reach because of the tight work schedule. Later, he consulted with his friend, who was an expert in this Finnish development.

Some sources indicate that the creators turned to various moments from the "Matrix", for example, the film lacks blue tones. In combination with the tragic scenario, the picture of "Max Payne" with Mark Wahlberg became the standard of gloomy and depressing cinema.
