Feeding baby

Breast milk is undoubtedly useful for a baby, but sooner or later there comes a time when one is not enough of it. Therefore, we have to introduce complementary foods. And then a lot of questions arise: What should I enter? How to enter? How many? When? And many others.

Lure of a child is food, which is assigned to the baby for 5-6 months of life. It should not completely replace breast milk, its purpose is to supplement mother's milk or mixtures that do not already have enough nutrients. It is important to understand that during this period, the foundation of health is laid, that is why the child's feeding is so important.

Why exactly from 5 months is introduced complementary foods? Everything is extremely simple. Early lure can lead to allergic reactions, in addition, the formation of a full-fledged swallowing reflex occurs only by the 5th month of life.

So, in order to start feeding a child, it is important to remember a few rules:

  1. You need to breastfeed before breastfeeding. Begin with a small amount (with a teaspoon) and gradually increase the amount of food to normal at this age.
  2. To introduce a new lure is necessary after the baby gets used to the first species.
  3. Do not introduce two different foods at once.
  4. The consistency of the food should be homogeneous so that the baby can swallow it freely.
  5. It is necessary to gradually diversify the composition of complementary foods and increase its number.
  6. Lure is not administered if the child is sick. Wait for a full recovery and quietly accustom the baby to new food.

The feeding of the child must begin with water and juices. The kid from the very first day of his life needs water, especially in the summer. Give the water you need a teaspoon between the main breastfeeding, a lot is not necessary. And do not worry if he refuses water, it means that he has enough liquid, which comes with milk.

Juice is the next lure for babies. Optimal option - apple. You need to give them before meals and start with a teaspoon. Concentrated juices are best diluted with water in a 1: 1 ratio. Then you can already enter pear, currant, and also juice based on berries.

The next stage is porridge. It is better to start with rice, oatmeal or buckwheat. For this you will need a coffee grinder. Cook porridge should be on the water without salt and sugar. The consistency of the finished porridge should resemble sour cream. You need to start with a tablespoon, gradually bring the volume to normal - so that to replace one feeding.

Approximately by the 7th month of life, it is already possible to introduce vegetable and fruit purees. It can be zucchini, carrots, broccoli (in it, by the way, a lot of iron), potatoes. From fruits: an apple, a pear, later a peach, apricot, banana. At first, the puree should consist of one component, then, when all kinds are introduced - gradually mix vegetables. If your child often suffers constipation, enter the diet beet.

Thus, by the age of 8 months, the lure for the baby consists of juice, cereals and vegetables.

Approximately months to 9 enter cottage cheese and yogurt. It's good, if there is a special dairy kitchen in your area for children under one year. Meat and fish are introduced, as a rule, closer to the year and then not in pure form, but with vegetables, or in the form of broth and soup. The fish should be treated with caution, check if the child has allergies to it. Meat should be given two to three times a week, and fish - once a week.

And one more important point - do not give salt to children for up to a year. After a year, you can slightly add meat and fish dishes.

In no case is it worth to feed the child with smoked, fried, spicy, pickled dishes. This can lead to digestive disorders or even more severe complications. The same goes for sweet. Cakes, sweets and cakes will certainly be in the diet, but later. In the meantime, grow large and do not get sick!
