But to herring under a fur coat, the classic recipe of which in each family is passed from daughter to mother, turned out to be especially delicious, it is necessary to know some secrets of its preparation.

Secrets of creating a herring under a fur coat

Whichever dish we cook, first of all, it is necessary to remember the properties of all the ingredients that make up its composition. You should also think about the combination of the tastes of all products and their consistency. Our taste is designed in such a way that the combination of sour, sweet, bitter and salty - that's what makes him delight! Remembering this rule, the cook can create his masterpieces, which, as they say, live for a moment.

So, to prepare herring under a fur coat, the classic recipe assumes the presence of the following components:

  • Herring is slightly salted (one large or two medium size);
  • Potatoes boiled in a "uniform" (2 or 3 large potatoes);
  • Boiled carrots (1-2 pcs.);
  • Onion (one onion);
  • Beetroot (2 medium size);
  • mayonnaise.

These products are mandatory for any "coat". But there are additional components that can improve the herring under the fur coat - a classic recipe plus boiled eggs (a pair of pieces), melted cheese, grated sour apple with no skins.

Prepare all the products in advance and start creating your masterpiece. This dish requires an attentive attitude - do not do it in a hurry! It is best to prepare the herring in advance under the fur coat. The classic recipe requires that the "coat" should be held in the fridge for a few hours before use, then it will become one.

How to "assemble" a fur coat?

Build the fur coat in the following order:

1. Cook a large dish and put a little mayonnaise on the bottom.

2. Directly over the dish, half the whole potato on a large grater (so do with all the vegetables) and spread the spoon uniformly on the bottom of this layer. It should be said that many housewives love to lay herring to the bottom, but this option will allow your coat to be taken from the dish, and the herring will remain inside the fur coat. Apply mayonnaise on a layer of potatoes and carefully distribute it all with a spoon, well several times promazyvaya potatoes (similarly smear all other layers). Take your time - the final result depends on it.

3. Distribute pieces of herring fillet without bones. Then on top, put onions, cut into rings or thin straws (pre-pour onion with steep boiling water and add a little vinegar - the bitterness will go away). All this pour a small amount of refined sunflower oil - this will give a special taste to herring.

4. Again a layer of potatoes and mayonnaise.

5. Layer of carrots and apples - smeared with mayonnaise.

6. After this layer, you can rub the processed cheese or / and the egg white (the yolk is rubbed for decoration of the fur coat).

7. Now the last layer is beet. To make the fur coat delicious, the beets can also be divided into layers, each with mayonnaise.

8. Decoration. To beautifully look herring under a fur coat, the classic recipe of which we have considered, wipe the edge of the dish in a circle with a paper napkin.

By the same principle, you can prepare a roll - herring under a fur coat will turn out very beautiful. The components are the same, but instead of a round or oval dish, take a film, foil or wax paper. Mix all ingredients first with mayonnaise. Make a fur coat, giving the layers a rectangular shape. The order of the layers in this case will be reversed: first beets, then carrots and apple, potatoes, pickled onions. All the layers are very tightly tamped and make less than the previous layer by area. At the end along the middle of the rectangle, lay the herring fillet with a strip. Carefully fold, shaping the roll, and lay it on the dish, removing the paper. Roll the roulette and put in the fridge.
