Exhibition of the Samara Artist

Art lovers are eagerly awaiting the opening of the exhibition of the talented Samara artist, Gerasimov Vyacheslav Yurievich. Show works written by the artist will be held September 27 in the house museum of Alabin. Currently, there is an intensive preparation for the exhibition. Gerasimov Vyacheslav Yuryevich opened for us a veil of secrecy of the upcoming event. "The exhibition will feature works I've been writing over the past 10 years. I'm preparing a series of Russian landscapes for public display. They will be presented with the beauty of the most diverse corners of the country: views of the Irtysh River, the Republic of Kaleria. Also at the exhibition there will be portraits of my wife, artist Diaghilev, and others. " Vyacheslav Yurievich lives a very bright and interesting life. Fate ordered that the artist managed to live in different places of our country. "My homeland is Astrakhan, but I studied already near here, in the Saratov Art Academy. Then there was the Moscow Art and Industrial School, now I'm creating in Samara. " The artist told us about his inspiration: "I really love traveling. In the pictures I try to convey the atmosphere of those places where I find myself, I've been to various places, even on the Arctic Ocean I sailed on my boat, in the summer. My one of the favorite fishing, hunting, without them on long trips just can not do, I have a hunting dog , a Russian spaniel. Unfortunately, now she is hunting only for rats. " Gerasimov Vyacheslav is known, first of all, as a master of monumental works. His voluminous composition at the metro station "Gagarinskaya" simply amazes with its strength and dynamics. Monumental painting is the oldest kind of painting, known since the Paleolithic times. Monumentality can be observed in various types and genres of fine arts, with its help you can achieve impressive effects, for example, the emergence of strength and drama. Often, the lack of monumentality informs the works of aesthetic incongruity, the lack of a true correspondence to ideals and public interests, when these creations are perceived no more than pompous and devoid of artistic merit. Also, the talent of the monumentalist can be observed in other projects in Samara and Samara region. "I like to create on spacious canvases, so that there is a place to turn around," the artist says with a smile. "Yes, and at the forthcoming exhibition there will be mainly large paintings, the format is 3-4 meters." Gerasimov Vyacheslav Yurievich is also the main artist of the Samara Philharmonic, where you can enjoy his works.
