Each enterprise is obliged to monitor the quality of its products, which should correspond to the levels of world achievements. This is the responsibility of the QC inspector. Quality indicators include the following: the requirements of aesthetics, ease of use, reliability of operation and the accuracy of the established dimensions, compliance with GOSTs.

OTC is deciphered as a technical control department. Controller OTK - a profession of workers, a mass, occupied by the number of specialists fourth in the industry as a whole. Actually, it's a quality inspector.

The duties of such an employee primarily include reconciliation of products received on production with drawings, technological documentation and GOST. Products can either be inspected "by eye", or checked using instruments (micrometers, magnifiers, calibers, calipers, microscope, etc.).

The controller, having received a batch of finished (or semi-finished) products, must check each, stating the seal of control (stigma, usually indicating the date of verification and the name of the person conducting it), draw up the necessary documentation (accompanying), fill in the defective statements. In addition, the OTC inspector studies the causes of marriage and makes suggestions for the reasons for its elimination in the future. The causes of marriage, of course, can be very different: defects in workpieces, poor-quality material, uninstalled equipment, negligence or carelessness of workers (or their low qualification).

The QC inspector should know not only the characteristics of the products under test, but also be both demanding, principled, and correct in relation to the personnel in the production. The ability to combine such qualities helps to consolidate the authority that disciplines the workers. Negligence (or inexperience) may well disorganize and cause conflicts.

The QC inspector is an expert of quality. Therefore, he must be a person conscientious, who understands the consequences of sending substandard products to the customer or the consumer. Its work is connected with monotonous actions, which means that it is not suitable for those who prefer a constant change of "scenery". Care, diligence, slowness, thoroughness is required here.

The qualified controller is well acquainted with the technology of his production, with the very process of work, with drawings, skillfully uses instrumentation, has developed memory, good vision, stable performance, noise immunity, attention, and concentration. The physical loads are insignificant here.

Engineer OTK is responsible for the storage and serviceability of measuring instruments; Conducts departmental verification, attestation and technical acceptance of measuring instruments; Carries out the audit and removal of worn-out appliances (or improperly operated). Its competence includes technological, final control of measuring instruments, development of attestations and verifications of these facilities, monitoring their proper operation, etc. It reports directly to the head of the department.

Only a person with a special education can be appointed to this post, with a work experience in the sphere of five years. He must know the legal acts, the system of state supervision, methodological materials, methods and systems of technical control, the basics of the organization of production, the technology of production, the products, all the details of the certification, the rules of testing products and their acceptance, the procedure for attestation,

Training takes place both at enterprises directly (courses), and in special educational institutions (institutes and schools).
