Indeed, this is not the job for the faint-hearted: it's more difficult than navigating to the site and listening to the foreman's report on the work done. Calculation of material, construction stores, and when it comes to the process itself - sleepless nights and shabby nerves. In the arrangement of its nest there are no trifles: load-bearing walls, partitions, heating, ventilation, plumbing, windows, plinth, door slopes, tiles ... Each one must be taken into account and taken seriously and thoroughly. In most cases (except for door-coupes), doors and windows do not do without slopes covering the door frame part and the window frame. This is the final stage of installation, which hides the unsuccessful elements, the refinement of the structure, this finishing touch carries other functions. For example, the gaps after installation look not only unaesthetic, but also let in the cold air. Therefore, the door slopes are also an element of the thermal insulation system. Their blanks can be bought at any construction shop. Corners made of compressed sawdust and other wood waste - MDF - can be selected for any door frame. You can also make door slopes yourself. There are several types of slopes depending on the material. It can be cement-sand, the same MDF, even laminate. The door slopes of plasterboard will be very smooth. The installation work is pretty straightforward, so it's easy to deal with it.

How to install doorways? A few recommendations to the owner

Getting to work, make the necessary calculations, because correcting the errors is quite difficult. Consider the wires that go above the door: alarm, intercom and so on. By the way, about the dimensions: the optimal slopes should be a couple of centimeters below the box. Cutting a slope yourself, take notes and use corners, level and other tools, because accuracy in this matter is very important. Then proceed to the wall. The first stage of finishing consists in fixing the mounting foam with holes and gaps after installing the door itself. Smooth out any irregularities. Prime the part of the wall from which you will work, attach the beacon profile, and fasten it to the dowels. Facade putty or a mixture of sand and cement plaster the surface. Do not feel sorry for the solution, smooth the irregularities with the help of a rod. In the non-walled yet treated wall, press the perforated profile. Apply finish. Do not start each next step until the previous layer has dried.

The final stage

Proceed to the slopes. Apply the substrate (a solution of cement and lime is suitable for this mission), then a primer. Then start working from the top: spread a part of the door frame with an adhesive mass, press the MDF panel and wait until it dries. The next stage - the corners, which will aesthetically cover the seams and give a complete look. An important detail: a stain or a decorative finish of a suitable color can make any desired accent in the interior.
