Compulsory health insurance policy - the right to free medical care

Among the mandatory documents that are issued to a person from the moment of its birth, a special place is occupied by the policy of compulsory medical insurance. It gives every citizen of the Russian Federation the right to receive free medical care when this becomes necessary. The MMI policy is issued to working citizens by the employer, who signs a contract for the transfer of funds to the insurer. The same persons who for whatever reasons do not work, are entitled to receive the health insurance policy by the insurance company itself.

The policy of compulsory medical insurance is valid without restriction on the entire territory of the Russian Federation for the period for which the contract is concluded. If the owner of the MHI policy applies for medical assistance in another settlement, and not where he lives, this does not change the essence of the matter. It is necessary to know that the Russian Federation has appropriate agreements with other foreign states on the right of Russians to receive free medical care while they stay on their territory. He must receive and provide him with medical help, of course, provided that he is presented with a document certifying his identity. The lost policy is restored. When you leave or change your place of residence, the policy is handed over and the contract for its receipt is renewed on the new place of stay.
