Care in the greenhouse for pepper. Planting, formation, pollination

Growing pepper in a sheltered soil (in a greenhouse) is the most common and simple way. If the soil to be disposed is prepared correctly, has sufficient softness and lightness, well transmits moisture, the results are excellent.

Pepper is an agricultural crop that requires a well-loosened and air-permeable soil. Therefore, care in the greenhouse for pepper involves regular weeding and loosening. If the culture is grown several seasons in a row in one place, then the soil must be disinfected.

Before planting, the site should be digested to a depth of approximately 40 cm, to make a large amount of organic fertilizers, and, if necessary, mineral fertilizers. Usually for these purposes, well-rotted manure is used at a rate of 1-1.5 tons per 100 square meters. Immediately before planting seedlings, the soil should be carefully leveled.

The planting scheme directly depends on the plant variety and the type of cultivation, that is, on the timing of sowing, the duration of the vegetative period, etc. The longer this process lasts, and the worse the illumination, the greater the distance between separately standing shrubs. Then leaving in the greenhouse for pepper will be easier.

Grades very bushy should be planted according to the scheme of 40 x 70 or 50 x 80 cm, respectively, 2-5 or 3-6 pieces per square meter. Grades with a small bushiness are placed according to the scheme of 30 x 60 and 40 x 70 cm - 3-6 or 4-8 per square meter.

Care for the Bulgarian pepper involves pruning the bush. The branches of the plant are fragile enough, they break very easily, especially under the great weight of the ripening fruit. Many varieties that are grown on sheltered soils can reach a height of one meter, so they are supported for them.

Care of the peppers in the greenhouse provides for the compulsory formation of the bush. Depending on the duration of the maturation period and the planting scheme , the plants are formed into several stems. The bush should not be too thick. Plants that were cut off in time begin to bear fruit earlier and more abundantly. But, in turn, this contributes to the danger of disease in the plant and its damage to pests.

Do not forget that the best quality care in the greenhouse for pepper will not give good results if the plant is not pollinated in time. Do this as follows: as soon as the first flowers appear, every day during the noon it is necessary to shake the bushes easily. For example, you can gently hit the structure to which the plants are tied. Pollination occurs during the care of peppers.

It is believed that the pepper completely ripens, as soon as its color begins to change from green to red or yellow. But sometimes it is advisable to remove the fruits earlier, in order to give the opportunity to catch the remaining peppers. Well-ripened fruits should have a smooth surface, a fleshy structure, it is easy to separate from the stem.

Depending on the variety, fruiting usually comes about 8-11 weeks after planting seedlings in the soil. Harvest should be taken once every two weeks or as it ripens. Cut the fetus at the base of the peduncle with a knife or pruner.

Proper care in the greenhouse for pepper will help to get early growth of 5-6 kg, with an extended cycle - 10-12 kg and with an autumn growing 3-4 kg per square meter.
