  • Vanilla sugar - 1 sachet.

The products are mixed in the following order:

  • Added flour, baking powder and vanillin, all whipped;
  • Kefir is poured in, everything is mixed for five minutes.

The dough should be divided into two equal parts. Cocoa is added to one of them. Both cakes are baked separately in a rectangular shape for 20-25 minutes at a temperature of 200 degrees. You can approach the issue even easier and decorate the cake with a bottle of whipped cream. But the classic biscuit is better complemented with more original versions of creams, then the taste of the product will be exquisite and truly home-made. Here are the simplest and most popular recipes:

  1. Sour cream, boiled condensed milk and butter are beaten in the same proportion.
  2. In 200 g of mascarpone cheese, one melted tile of milk chocolate, half a glass of powdered sugar and a sour cherry without pits are added.
  3. 100 g of dark chocolate is melted with 50 ml of water and 50 ml of cognac. When the homogeneous mass cools down a little, it is beaten with a mixer with 100 g of thick cream.

Mastic

It can be bought at a specialized confectionery store, but sometimes it takes a long time to look for it. You can prepare mastic for yourself and decorate the cake yourself. To do this, you need:

  • Half a kilogram of powdered sugar;
  • 60 ml of water;
  • 1 teaspoon gelatin;
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon juice;
  • vanillin.

Gelatin is macerated in water and is prepared for half an hour on a steam bath. It adds lemon juice, vanillin, if desired, a dye. In a bowl with this mass, a little powder of sugar is added. Then the mastic is wrapped in a food film and left in the refrigerator for an hour.

Decor

To make a cake in the form of a book is quite simple:

  1. A large rectangular dish fits a chocolate cake.
  2. Top - a thick layer of cream.
  3. Over the cream - a white cake.
  4. The edges of the "book" are neatly cut around the perimeter.
  5. In the middle of a sharp knife is a small groove across the cake.
  6. On top and sides - again cream.
  7. Mastic is rolled into a layer about 0.5 cm thick, the top cake is covered with this layer. Superfluous edges are cut off. You can leave a thin ribbon of mastic for bookmarks.
