"Sector of gas": full discography. "Gas Sector": the best album

A real folk song is they. Their music reflects the true Russian reality, not embellished and not artificially-samovar, as it tries to present the "Golden Ring". They did not keep silent about what really interested their compatriots, and always in texts and lyrics chopped the truth-womb. They are Soviet and Russian punks. They are "Gaza Strip".

Group Information

December 5, 1987 in the city of Voronezh, the rock band "Gaza Strip" was founded. Vocalist and author of the texts was Yuri Klinskikh, known to fans and connoisseurs of Russian punk under the pseudonym Hoi. He was joined by another Voronezh musician, guitarist Mikhail Fink, who, however, continued to play at the same time in another local group called "Decree on Peace." For a while, the "Gaza Strip" actually consisted of one Klin, because the guitarist was busy at concerts with the "Decree on Peace." Later, at the end of 1989, the final composition of the punk band was formed: guitarist Sergei Tupikin, bass player Semyon Titievsky, and drummer Oleg Kryuchkov joined Hoi and Fink.

Has begun the reckoning since 1989 and their discography. "Gaza Strip" released the first recordings. Let's remember how it was.

How it all began

December 5, 1987 at the scene of the Voronezh rock club at the local CHP came Yuri Klinskikh. He sang alone, unaccompanied by keyboard or percussion instruments, only with a guitar. He performed three songs: "Easter", "Collective Farm Punk" and "Drowned Man". All these compositions eventually became known, and in some ways even legendary.

Then there were more performances at the local rock club. At one of the competitions held in the same place, "Gaza Strip" received a prize of audience sympathy.

Why "Gaza Strip"?

Many people unfamiliar with the history of the collective note that its name seems a little strange to them. In fact, there is no riddle here: Yuri Klinskikh called his group so because he did not even think about success at the very beginning of his creative career.

The fact is that the musician lived in the left-bank district of Voronezh. There were many factories, all of them decently smoked. This area was jokingly called "Gaza Strip" by many local residents. He was called so and young Hoi. In honor of this unofficial name of his district and with a little glance at the eponymous "hot spot" of Palestine, whose name was at that time heard because of the military conflict in it, Klinsky decided to choose among others the option "Gaza Strip".

Why Hoi An?

It is also interesting to know the origin of the nickname of Yuri Klinsky himself.

"Hoi" is a short word that Soviet and Russian punks greeted each other. Sometimes he is used as a cry: "Punks, hoy!" Yuri Klinskih was a frequent visitor to the Voronezh rock club, in which he acquired his nickname.

Speaking on stage, the future vocalist of "Gaza Strip" addressed to the audience at every concert: "Punks, hoy!" Most likely, they used this word and as a greeting. After a while, recalls Klinskikh, people began to come to his house, previously unknown to him, who asked Yuri Khoy. This nickname stuck to him and remained with him until the end of his life.

"Gaza Strip": the first album

In 1989, two debut albums of the collective were released at once. They were called "Plow-woogie" and "Kolkhoz punk" and were created at the local Voronezh recording studio Black Box. The quality of these records, as Yuri Klinskikh himself admitted after a while, was not very decent, so Voronezh did not advance these records. But after some time the band re-recorded songs from these albums. It so happened that many people consider the album "Gaza Strip" "Kolkhoz punk" to be the first. The fact is that it was in him that there were more known songs in the future.

Then, in 1989, Yura Hoy and his rock band knew only in Voronezh. Speaking outside the city, the opportunities for the guys simply did not exist, so only the group "Gaza Strip" came out on the stage of the local rock club at the TPP. The first album, however, was liked by the local audience, although it was recorded unprofessionally.

1990: the first studio albums

Three months after the recording of "Kolkhoz Punk". Another two discs added discography. "Gaza Strip" released the albums "Yadrena Losh" and "Evil Dead". They were recorded in just four days on two Soviet tape recorder "Timbre". One wrote "minus", that is, only music, without vocals, on the other - "plus", the final versions of the songs.

The conditions were such that the musicians had to replay the entire song first, if one of them suddenly made mistakes during the recording. But the guys tried, for four days they gave all the best. No wonder then Klinsky sold his motorcycle, his favorite "Java", to rent a studio.

People liked the work of the "Gaza Strip" group. The album "Yadrena Vosh" and the record "Evil Dead" actually paved the young musicians the way to the big stage. Before them, no one was able to talk so simply and openly, to a close Russian person, about the problems of the ordinary inhabitants of the outback, while chuckling at them. And the lyrics about the afterlife were then unimaginable.

Year 1991. Fifth album and growing popularity

In 1991, the band signed a contract with the recording studio Gala Records. Replenished with the fifth album discography. "Gaza Strip" called it "The Night Before Christmas".

This year was a landmark for the team: a producer appeared, Fidel Simonov, tours began, popularity came. In the same year the composition of the group changed: new musicians came, some of them remained exclusively session or only helped to record songs at the studio, but did not perform at concerts. The main composition was:

  • Sergey Tupikin, bass player;
  • Alexei Ushakov, keyboard player;
  • Alexander Yakushev, the drummer;
  • Yuri Klinskikh, the vocalist.

In addition, the last albums were recorded with the assistance of backing vocalist Tatyana Fateeva, who left the band two years later because of health problems-an incomprehensible allergy that prevented her from working at concerts.

Another "Kolkhoz punk", "Walk, man!" And "Push on gas"

At the end of 1991, the album "Kolkhoz punk" was re-recorded on vinyl. The circulation was huge - as many as 100,000 copies. At the beginning of the following year 1992, the band released their first video for the title track of the album. It was shown on TV, and the popularity of the band became truly all-Russian.

Then enriched with two albums, which almost immediately fell in love with the public, his discography. "Gaza Strip" released the LPs "Walk, man!" And "Click on the gas." With the tour in support of the first of them the band played more than a hundred concerts for the year. And on this musicians did not intend to stop.

Fruitful 1994

This year, the remaining material from the recording of the first two albums, the material was released on the CD of the "Gaza Strip" of the same name. The next was the disc "Dancing after a Fat". As is clear from the title, when working on it, Yuri Khoy was least shy in terms. This record was recorded with another back-vocalist, Inna Bukharina, but her manner of singing was so much like Tatyana Fateyeva, who left the band, that the fans did not immediately notice the replacement.

This year was marked by the implementation of a large-scale creative idea - the punk opera Kashchei the Immortal. In content it was an alternative version of a fairy tale about Ivan Tsarevich and Vasilisa the Beautiful, and in execution - parodies of famous rock artists, both foreign and domestic. Then Hoy "got" the groups AC / DC, Queen, Red Hot Chili Peppers and even the Soviet "Pesnyary". Fans loved the punk opera, and many people know it under the simple name "Fairy Tale".

"The Tale" was going to be screened back in the nineties, but then there was neither time nor money for it. The project was frozen, it was planned to return to the shooting in 2000. But, unfortunately, this idea was not realized ...

The crisis of the mid-90s and the best album of "Gaza Strip"

Until 1996, new disks from the group "Sector Gaza" did not come out. Yuri Klinskikh entered the period of the creative crisis, and therefore simply did not write the song. But all this time the team actively toured with their best songs.

The period of creative stagnation of the group's creator ended in 1996, just as unexpectedly as it began. In just one week, Klinskikh created material for the new album, which would later be called the best. It was the album "Gas attack", essentially new, after all such songs the group did not perform earlier. It was a real lyric, vital and interesting. The song "30 years" almost immediately became a table, and "Fog" went to the people a real hit, on which the same black and white clip was shot.

1997-2000

Then there was an album with the name "The University of Narcology of Million". This album sounded like the previous one. In addition, he was also restrained. His most vivid song is "It's time to go home." She continued the military themes, touched by the group in the previous album, and also very quickly left for the people.

In the spring of 1999, a fundamentally new album appeared on the sound - a collection of remixes for old, already beloved by millions of Extasy songs. Many were puzzled why it was necessary to turn the best songs into dance tracks, but Klinskikh himself said that this idea had seized him a few years ago. And he also said that he was glad of its implementation.

The full discography "Gaza Strip" was formed in 2000. Then the light saw the last, mystical album of the group "Risen from Hell." True, this happened only after the death of Yuri Khoy ...

This was the story of the "Gaza Strip" group. Discography (1989-2000) is rich, and it is interesting, because it represents development in its pure form. How people changed, personality - Yuri Klinskikh, and so did his music. And now, years later, we can confidently say that "Gaza Strip" is a group whose discography has given much to Russian rock. Even in spite of all the criticism and misunderstanding of colleagues in the shop and many common people. The songs of Jura Klinsky are loved, listened to and sung, and on its grave there are always living flowers.
