"Bremen musicians": who wrote this fairy tale?

Who among us in my childhood did not watch the cartoon or read a book about the Bremen musicians? Almost all at least once in some way adjoined the wonderful story of traveling animals, but far from everyone knows who is the author of the fairy tale "The Bremen Town Musicians".

Familiarity of the main characters

The story begins with the way four best friends have met. At first it comes to Osle, who was very old and was not suitable for normal work, so the owner decided to starve him to death. The donkey, being an intelligent animal, decided to escape in search of a better fate. On the way, he meets Pete, whom the owner wanted to kill, because he is no longer as smart as before, and is not suitable for hunting.

They decide to become musicians together and go to the city of Bremen. Along the way, they "pick" two more comrades, from whom the owners also wanted to get rid of: the Cat and the Rooster. That's how the Bremen musicians met. The author then sends a friendly company in search of a home.

Adventure

At first, all the animals were going to get settled in the forest, but it was terribly uncomfortable, and one of them noticed a house nearby, where it was decided to go. It turned out that robbers live in this forest hut, but this did not frighten the "musicians" who immediately gathered and began to "play" their tunes. The cat mewed, The donkey roared, The rooster crowed, and the Dog barked loudly. The robbers were very frightened and immediately escaped.

"Musicians" did not lose their heads and settled in a comfortable house for the night. Later, the main robber - ataman - sent his assistant to see who had driven them out of the dwelling. The messenger, being in the house, only underwent a new attack of the tenants: The cat scratched it, The dog bit, The ass kicked, and the Rooster began to shout loudly. The robber returned to the ataman, told him about all his adventures, and it was decided that witches live in the house, and the move was ordered there. After that the only tenants of the house in the forest were the Bremen musicians.

Who wrote the fairy tale

The authors of this not quite a children's fairy tale were the brothers of Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm , known not only to every adult, but also to many children . They were born in the city of Hanau (Germany) in the family of an official, with a difference of one year, Jacob was born in 1785, and Wilhelm in 1786. Future writers grew up in a well-to-do family, they were brought up in an atmosphere of good and love.

Together they graduated from the gymnasium in just four years, instead of the stipulated eight, and went to receive a legal education.

Both brothers worked as professors at the University of Berlin, co-wrote "German grammar," and compiled a dictionary.

Creation

But to this day they remain famous for their unusual hobbies, which were carried away during the student days. They studied folk tales and adapted them in their own way. One of them became history, the main actors of which were the well-known Bremen musicians. Who wrote this tale? The answer is simple: they created their stories together. But this is not the only known work of eminent authors. They also wrote "The Cat in Boots", "Little Red Riding Hood", "Cinderella", "The Wolf and the Seven Little Kids", "Snow White" and many others, among which one of the most famous remains the fairy tale "Bremen Town Musicians".

Who wrote these tales, what lies at their basis? This question was asked by researchers, because some of them believe that the Grimm brothers were just processing and retelling existing folk tales.

Now, after so many years, it is difficult to say how the Brothers Grimm wrote their stories, but it is undeniable that one of the most famous stories is now the fairy tale "The Bremen Musicians". Who wrote this work, now you know.
