Michael Bulgakov. "Dog's heart". Summary and hidden meaning

We live during freedom of speech and press. You can openly express your attitude towards people, the authorities. In the regime of Soviet time, this was not possible. A vivid example of a veiled protest is a novel written by Mikhail Bulgakov, "A Dog's Heart." The summary of it, perhaps, will not be able to show the full depth of satire, but it is absolutely necessary to touch the great. The censorship of the 1930s was adamant, and the manuscript could not even be published. Bulgakov was helped by good friends.

M. A. Bulgakov. "The Heart of a Dog" (summary)

The main character of the story is a wandering dog, which Professor Preobrazhensky found on the street. The famous surgeon carries out unusual operations on the transplantation of animal organs to humans. But this time everything happens vice versa. The unfortunate dog is transplanted by the human pituitary gland, and amazing metamorphosis takes place with it. The dog's heart was not spoiled by the passions, the dog was infinitely grateful for the bone, was well versed in people and even pitied them.

With the acquisition of human appearance, the human nature is also manifested. The kindest dog turned into a lumpen Sharikov - brawler and drunkard. The chairman of the house committee, the proletarian Shvonder, had a great influence on the formation of his consciousness. Trying to nurture a new member of the existing society, he thinks inappropriately narrowly and does not notice the obvious shortcomings of Sharikov. He does not want to fight, he tries to avoid any inconvenience, does not want to learn. Sharikov believes that everything should be "divided - distributed equally", but does not want to work. Such a person will not spare anyone in his pursuit of his own well-being. Rising a little higher on the social ladder, he begins to destroy his own kind.

A new stratum of society, expressed in the form of Polygraph Polygraphovich, is doomed to perish, because no one wants to take responsibility for one's neighbor. The experiment crashed, the professor comes to the conclusion that you should not interfere in the nature of people and animals. Bulgakov is of the same opinion. "Dog Heart" - a brief summary of human passions hidden deep inside the demons, waiting for their time. And do not let them out.

One day

Literary critics tend to believe that Bulgakov ridiculed the political regime of that time. Sharikov became a hypertrophied image of a man who was given a lot of rights and opportunities, but forgot to tell about responsibility and responsibilities. A "brainwashing" at a high level has awakened egoism and commercialism. It is this hidden meaning that hides in itself the philosophical story "The Dog's Heart" (Bulgakov). The brief content of the work is already able to convey to the reader the main idea: to do everything with meaning, otherwise humanity will return to the initial stage of its development. Progress for the sake of progress creates destruction. And before giving people freedom and opportunities, it is necessary to teach them how to use these benefits properly.

A dangerous, outrageous story was written by M. A. Bulgakov - "The Heart of a Dog." The summary of it, given above, is only a modest attempt to acquaint the reader with literary protests. Perhaps, it will be enough for someone. But it is better not to read the short content. Bulgakov wrote "The Heart of a Dog" so that people could fully appreciate the results of the revolution that took place and the decline of the Soviet proletarian society, and feel the infirmity of the intelligentsia, broken and crushed by the government machine. After all, only by keeping in touch with the past can you build a true future.
