Nosov's works for children: a list of books full of fascinating adventures and funny stories

More than one generation of children has grown up on the good stories and tales of the talented Soviet writer Nikolai Nikolaevich Nosov. His characters are good-natured and spontaneous. But their special charm lies in the fact that real schoolchildren are easily recognized in them, with their children's joys and sorrows, victories and defeats.

How the writer was born

Nikolai Nikolayevich himself was born in 1908. But the writer in it was born only after many years. Unlike many figures of the pen, neither being a small boy Kolya, nor an adult Nicholas, Nosov did not even think about literary work. In his life, everything changed the birth of his son.

Being a caring father, Nikolai Nikolayevich spent a lot of time with his little son. One of the favorite entertainments for the child was listening to funny stories that Papa composed right on the go. History is silent about whether Nikolay Nikolayevich himself decided to publish his creations or whoever he knew, but it is for certain that in 1938, in the popular children's magazine Murzilka, the first known writer's story was first published. This is how the works of Nosov for children were born. The list was opened by the story "Zateyniki".

The beginning of a literary career

It was only the first swallow. Nosov's subsequent stories for children were not long in coming. In the same year, about a dozen works were printed on the pages of Murzilka.

And already in 1945 the first collection "Tuk-tuk-tuk" was published. Over the next two years, two more collections were published. More and more readers were looking for Nosov's children's books on the shelves, the list of which was constantly replenished.

Prerequisites for the creation of a new civilization

The writer lived at a difficult time. For his age, two world wars, he suffered hunger and deprivation. Almost all his life Nikolai Nikolaevich was huddled together with his family in a tiny communal flat. Only when he was 60 years old, had the opportunity to move with his wife in a separate apartment.

The need to constantly save space on more than modest living space has imperceptibly generated a love for miniature things. The grandson of N. Nosov remembers that he often went with his grandfather to admire the toy railway. And as a gift to him, Nikolai Nikolayevich often chose small cars that did not exceed the size of a matchbox.

It is likely that these circumstances pushed a talented writer to create a special country for little men. Nowadays, he would have been dubbed the ancestor of the new universe, but then things like that were much simpler. And as a reward for his writings N. Nosov was satisfied with the recognition of grateful readers.

The famous shorty conquers the world

NN Nosov's works for children gained popularity far beyond the borders of the Soviet Union even during the writer's lifetime. In many respects this was made possible by the fact that he managed to avoid the presence of obsessive communist ideology in his stories.

Very revealing in this respect is one episode from the writer's life. When he was persuaded to at least casually mention the name of Joseph Stalin in the book for which he was awarded the Stalin Prize (which was incredibly honorable), he replied that in his stories he was not writing about the honors pupils, but putting in the mouths of the Trojnik people the words about the great leader somehow Worse ....

Nosov's works for children, whose list is rightfully led by the adventures of restless Neznaika, have been translated into 68 languages. This hero is very popular in Japan. Merry Xiao Uzhi, which translates as "little ignoramus" - one of the favorite characters of the Japanese comics. Little Danno is known in English-speaking countries, and in Hungarian his name sounds - Nemtudomka.

In 1957, one of the authoritative international journals conducted a study on the topic of which works of which Russian writers are translated into other languages most often. Nosov's list of stories for children was in third place. Only Nikolai Nikolayevich Maxim Gorky and Aleksandr Sergeevich Pushkin have espoused Nikolai Nikolaevich.

Vitya Maleev and others

However, no matter how popular Neznayka, Nosov's stories for children are not limited to this character alone. Very much Nikolai Nikolayevich wrote about ordinary children. And the adventures they had were not at all fabulous, but the most common ones. What did not stop them being equally exciting and exciting.

Perhaps this is how the writer's talent is manifested. After all, he took everyday situations and told them so that they turned into entertaining stories. And the special charm of these short stories is that many easily recognize themselves in them. Well, who did not build houses of a veil stretched over a table and chair? Or did he not quarrel with his best friend because of rubbish?

One day Nikolai Nikolaevich received a letter, the sender of which was Vitya Maleev. There was the question: "How did you learn the stories from my life?" A similar question could be asked by hundreds and thousands of young readers.

Prototypes of heroes

If you carefully study all the works of Nosov for children, the list of main characters will be surprisingly modest. In addition to the community of shorties living in fairy-tale cities, Nikolai Nikolayevich introduces us to a dozen other school-age children. And in these works the author prefers to lead the narration from the first person. Does this mean that Nosov's funny stories for children are written off from him ?!

Nikolai Nikolayevich did not hide the fact that he himself was the prototype of Neznaika's character. But the images of other children were more collective. The writer was very fond of watching the games of children. At first he spent time with his son, then with his grandson and his friends.

Serious creator of carefree characters

Nosov's contemporaries say that he was rather reserved and unsociable. The grandson remembers him as a silent and serious man. It seems that the author put all the humor of his humor into his works, not allowing him to splash into the surrounding reality.

Or maybe it's just in a difficult historical era. To keep in those days the position of non-partisanship was very difficult. Especially the figure who is in public view. By itself, this fact can tell a lot about a person's personality. At the then existing regime, one superfluous word could abruptly change a person's life. So I had to keep my mouth shut.

In fact, it was precisely the incessant remarks that it was necessary to introduce public consciousness into his works in order to move from everyday stories into the fairy-tale genre of the writer. He was encouraged to write about pioneer organizations and insisted that he mention Stalin, at least in the description.

However, Nikolai Nosov was not that kind of person. Works for children, who left his pen, were left unchecked political instructions. And this is one of the reasons why the current generation of schoolchildren with the same rapture reads out his stories, like their predecessors more than sixty years ago.

Heroes move from the pages of books to the big screen

Many of Nosov's stories for children were screened. And most of them even during the life of the author. The first feature film, based on the stories from the collection "Vitya Maleev in the School and at Home", was presented to the general public in 1954. It was called "Two Friends" and was shot in a black and white format.

This picture was a great success for the audience. That is why it was not four years ago that the next feature film "Druzhok" was released. This time it was filmed on a color film.

Did not forget in oblivion what NN Nosov did for children in our time. In 1997, was shot a wonderful cartoon series "Neznayka on the Moon." The entire cycle takes a little over two and a half hours and consists of 12 series. Thanks to the series, children today can get acquainted with the restless Neznayka in the format most familiar to them. And after that it is much easier to continue his friendship with him on the pages of the ageless books of N. Nosov.
