Begin preparation by choosing a place in the kitchen. The size of the opening of the section must correspond to the width of the box of the machine. For example, a built-in dishwasher 45 centimeters wide should be free to enter the chosen opening and do not leave very large gaps. Here you can face two options:

  1. Installation in the new kitchen.
  2. Installation in the old kitchen.

If the furniture in your kitchen is new and modern, then there are no problems with installation. All modern kitchen cabinets and cavities are standardized and assume the presence in them of built-in kitchen appliances. To integrate the dishwasher, you do not have to modify anything.

And if you bought furniture in the kitchen for a long time, then you probably can not find suitable ready-made options for installation. So get ready to work a little with a tape measure, a hammer, a hacksaw and other tools.

Keep in mind that dishwashers are most often found on the market in the 45 cm and 60 cm width. The height at them can be different. But they are all equipped with sliding legs.

Recommendations for correct installation

Very useful information on how to build a dishwasher can be found in the rules and recommendations from manufacturers. For example, a built-in Bosch dishwasher (45 cm wide) has a bundle of necessary instructions.

Before proceeding with the self-installation, find all the available information. Look at a couple of videos on how to make the installation and connection. You must do everything correctly and correctly.

Some useful nuances:

  • A grounding must be made. This is a mandatory norm.
  • The length of the drain hose should not be more than 1.5 meters. Otherwise, the discharge pump can quickly fail as a result of increased load.
  • Do not install the dishwasher under the hob.
  • Be sure to install the protective metal plate under the countertop. It will protect it from hot steam and protect it from swelling and deformation.

Remember, a mistake can cost you a lot. It will be unpleasant to flood the neighbors with water or get an electric shock if there is no ground connection. Be careful.

  1. Cross-head screwdriver.
  2. Adjustable wrench.
  3. Knife.
  4. Drill.
  5. Nippers.
  6. Building level.

From the materials, prepare the following:

  1. Brass tee for connecting a pressure water hose.
  2. The tow for sealing.
  3. Ball valve.
  4. Clamps.

If you need to increase the length of pipelines, prepare everything you need in advance.

It is recommended to use a patch for sealing threaded pipe joints. It is more reliable and durable than a rubber foil tape.

Installing the dishwasher in the kitchen section

Before embedding the dishwasher, you need to again measure the opening. Make sure that the machine body is easily inserted into the section prepared by you. All dishwashers built in - 45 cm and 60 cm - should have a small gap between the walls. It is also needed for normal ventilation after operation.

Remove the rear wall in the recess. There should be free space for hoses and wires. Check for a protective plate under the countertop. If it's not there, then install it.

After that, insert the machine body into the recess and adjust the extension legs so that the dishwasher box is horizontal to the ground surface. To do this, use the building level. It is imperative that the dishwasher does not go out prematurely before the time (60). Built-in appliances then easily fall into place.

Determine in advance the places where the self-tapping screws are fastened to fix the body of the machine. If necessary, drill a small diameter hole. They are useful for simplicity of the entrance of the screw into the furniture case. Or use a screwdriver.

Tips for connecting hydraulics

All dishwashers have the same hydraulic connection scheme. For example, a built-in dishwasher of 60 cm is connected in the same way as a machine with a width of 45 cm. Here are some tips:

  • The standard length of the drain hose is usually sufficient with a large margin. If the machine will stand far from the point of entry into the sewer, then you will have to additionally make the installation of a sewer pipeline closer to the machine.
  • To seal the joints, use a special sanitary sealant.
  • To work with a pressure hose you will need certain skills. If you have never done this before, it's best to invite a specialist. This will ensure you quality and reliability.
  • If you need to additionally fix the hoses on the wall, then use special anchor clamps. Secure the required number of clamps in the wall and attach the hoses to them. To fix it in the wall, you need a punch.

Installation of hydraulic hoses

It is quite easy to connect a drain hose. To do this, you just need to insert it into a special hole on the siphon. If the diameter of the siphon inlet is much larger than the diameter of the drain hose, use special rubber adapters.

Sequence of installation of pressure hose:

  1. Turn off the water pressure in the kitchen.
  2. Disconnect any pressure hose from the water tap.
  3. In its place, install a brass tee.
  4. Connect the pressure hose of the mixer to the tee.
  5. Place the ball cock on the free outlet of the tee.
  6. Connect the pressure hose of the dishwasher to the tap.
  7. Turn on the water and check the sealing of all connections.

This sequence of plumbing works is suitable for machines of any size. Built-in dishwasher 60 cm wide will be installed in the same way as a 45 cm machine.

Electrical connection

Attention! All electrical work is done with the power off in the network. Check the position of the switch in the machine. For full confidence use an electric probe.

To connect electrical wires, use special plastic plugs. They are usually included in the delivery.

Power connection sequence:

  1. Unscrew the clamps of the wiring cover on the back of the machine.
  2. Connect the wires. Be sure to connect the ground wire.
  3. Wear protective plastic caps. A simple electrical tape is not suitable.
  4. Install the wiring harness back.

All. You have fully connected the dishwasher. Now slide it into the furniture niche and lock it. Turn on electricity and water. Check operation. You should be all right.
