To replace the belt, you will need the following tools: spanners for 17 and 15, a large screwdriver or mounting, puller of the locking rings. The installation of the timing belt for VAZ models is similar in many respects:

1. It is necessary to remove the terminals from the battery and the belt from the generator.

2. To establish position of the piston of the first cylinder on ВМТ.

3. Using the ring wrench on the 15, loosen the tensioning roller and turn to reduce the tension of the belt.

4. Remove the belt from the camshafts, the pulley and the tensioning roller.

5. The key for 17 is to unscrew the bolt pin of the crankshaft and take it out together with the washer, then remove the drive pulley of the generator.

6. Remove the belt drive pulley with the washer and remove the old belt.

7. Before installing a new one, it is necessary to clean all the rollers and shkifi from dirt, and at the end to treat with degreasing liquid.

8. Install the new timing belt and adjust the tension.

9. Reinstall all removed parts.
